Plant Pick Eat Repeat | EXPERIMENT | Multi-Sow or Single Sow Onions | Which grows better?

Growing vegetables on our homestead in Portugal is a cycle. Plant, pick, eat and repeat.

We’ve experimented with onions – Multi-sown vs. single sown and the results are in.
It’s November in zone 10b and we’re picking salads, sweet potatoes, butternut squash.
Planting onions, garlic and peas.
And because I’m alone this month, I treated myself to lunch at a lovely river beach.

  1. You amaze me! And given my age, I hope I'll be forgiven if that sounds sexist. You are such an incredible partner and a hard worker, in so many ways Dan's a lucky man. And everything else aside, you deserve a few days at a resort, pampering to the max and massages from top to bottom. Maybe I'm envious, not sure I could keep up with you. But you do it all with such gusto, it's a pleasure to watch. Keep on creating!

  4. It is so wonderful to see how much joy the land and the plantings bring to you, so glad outsiders like you are taking care and loving that "Old Farm " my relatives, the previous owners are looking down and smiling, and I also say Thank you !!!! as a city girl, I could not do what you both are doing. Keep up the Great Work !!!!!!!!!

  5. What lovely temperatures to be living in at this time of year. Great harvests as well. Looks like your moles are a real problem. I'm sure I've read somewhere that moth balls are a deterent for mice, maybe it would work for moles as well.
