The Port Charlotte skyline is off, with the coming sun seekers resort plans to give the city a real downtown feel its lacking. But the locals claim this will just turn their quiet retirement community into a mob town like Havana in the 1950s.

Visiting Fort Myers for the first time,drove through Port Charlotte,Bonita Springs,Sanibel Island,Fort Myers Beach yesterday.The cost of beach parking is my there is my biggest complaint.Today we're heading to Downtown Fort Myers and Cape Coral before heading back to Zephyrhills.Staying at a hotel in Lehigh Acres,cheaper than staying at tha beach.
🏳️🌈📱 I know few places in Port Charlotte FL. That's why I was born this town in 1987 thru mid 1990s it is ok since I was a kid & by the time I got back here in February 2001 thru April 2003 it gotten worse from crime rate. But since Hurricane Charley did terrible to destroy couple of houses & business with school. I was very young & early teenager for living off at Easy Street & used to have a store called Irish Store & Trail BBQ. Some of houses got repair or replace but they're completely gone. I was born & raise in Charlotte County & Sarasota County FL. You have to watch couple of YouTube videos to see how badly it was gotten from Hurricane Charley on August 13th 2004. Don't forget you see couple of school got hit badly from Hurricane Charley like Peace River Elementary School they have 2 story building for classroom used to have standard classroom with portables. If you didn't know every houses in Port Charlotte area it has Markle brothers builder back then. 📱🏳️🌈
Cool watching you drive through my town where I’ve lived for 42 years. I’ve been trying to leave for years but too many roots still here right now. (Can’t leave my granddaughter while she’s still young) I sent this to my family to show them the changes. They escaped! 😁
Awww…I missed this one earlier…So yea, put one of the older passengers to drive in Port Charlotte and you won't get stopped…I'm the crazy old lady who forgets the turn signal, doing 80 in a 60 with the "Repato" music full blast, singing to the top of my lungs and dancing guaguanco while driving through Port Charlotte…LMAO…Florida is full of "Sleepy Towns" like Port Charlotte… I have a system…If it starts with "Port" it's a sleepy town…If it starts with "Fort" it's dangerous…"O"s are a toss up…Ocala, Okeechobee…"H", Hialeah and Homestead…Need I say more?…LOL…"M"s tend to be more mellow…Madison, anything Miami…Miami Springs, Miami Beach, Miami, ect…I learned how to walk in the Gables…Rode the train at MacArthur farms…Do you know where that was?…LOL…Bendiciones for Mom and Dad too…Asere pon al vie o' a manejar, pa k no te paren…Jajajaa…Bechitos…
