Porto Portugal – NEVER AGAIN!

When traveling abroad everybody finds their limits… today I discovered one of mine… On this travel video episode of Not Your Averge Globetrotter, we’ll go on a walkthrough of the one and only Porto, Portugal (Oporto). It’s time to walk through the streets and get an overview of the city. Porto is one of my favorite cities and is always a pleasure… well almost always 😅 Living in Portugal has presented me with opportunities to get to explore new places and revisit old favorites. Living in Braga Portugal has been quite a treat because a location like Porto is only a train ride away and going from Braga to Porto and Porto to Braga is a fast enough trip that it’s possible to go back and for for a fun afternoon trip. Along with some of the side streets of Porto, we’ll also pass by some of the main attractions that the city has to offer, things to do as well as the must see spots in the city. On this mini afternoon vacation, it was a great taste of what tourism in Porto has to offer… other than the cable car…

  1. Just found your channel and you do a great job. We were in Portugal just recently (March) for the first time. Porto is otherworldly. I found Porto to be just beautiful and the people were so welcoming. It was nearly impossible to take a bad picture. We spent 6 days in Porto and the time flew by. I can’t wait to return! thanks again for sharing your adventures.

  2. Thanks for making another travel video. I’ve been on a cable car twice. First I went up a mountain and then came back down. That’s probably enough for me.

  3. Loving these videos as you explore your new home country. That tram ride was priceless! 😂😂😂. We're not fans of heights either so we really got a kick out of it. Thanks for braving it. Yes, we'd love to see more of your out and about experiences. Very fun content. Thanks Rafi and enjoy your weekend.

  4. Wimp!! Bahahaha! Kidding of course. I tend to grip the railing if someone jumps and down in an elevator so your cable car trepidation is justifiable. My husband is pure Portuguese but has never been to Portugal, nor does he have the desire to go there. I, on the other hand, do have an interest in visiting. It's on my bucket list but it's hard planning anything when all I want to do is visit Italy. One day, one day.

  5. Hi Raf! For anyone coming from the South, I recommend getting off at the Vila Nova de Gaia train station then walk North to the waterfront to get an introduction to Porto from the other side in Gaia. (And Cable Car optonal lol)

  6. I really enjoy all of your videos and love when you share the walking tour videos of the various cities that you visit. They are very helpful so please keep them coming! Thanks for sharing with us.

  7. Thanks Rafael for taking one for the team! 🤣 🤣 🤣 Next time, please take a sip of some Port wine before you go on that cable car—you’ll feel a lot better! 🤣 🤣 And of course, YES to future videos on food 👍🏻 and travels out-and-about. 👍🏻

  8. Love the vlog. Since I do not like heights, I was holding my breath when you were on that death trap. LOL Very good advice about mobility issues. Important to know. I think Portugal is not the place for me.
