Thousands of holidaymakers from the UK are scrambling to leave Portugal before new Covid quarantine rules come into force.

It comes as the UK government faced criticism from airline bosses over its controversial decision to remove Portugal from its green travel list as it moves to the amber list on Tuesday morning.
