Well,Portuguese universities did not copy the dress from the film,the famous attire was inspired by Portuguese traditional university clothes traje+ capa.”And I don’t know if you remember,I mentioned porto and sintra( though there are many beautiful places in Portugal to explore),in porto there is a famous bookshop livraria lello,if you look at the stairs you will understand how many aspects of the film was inspired from Portugal,oh and diagon alley was also inspired from streets of porto.there are many more inspirations too.and just once look at the dates of establishment of university of coimbra and porto.the book preservation at the biblioteca joanina of universidade de coimbra by bats will blow you away.
