  1. You could also explore, for a next video, some cities from the interior of Portugal, like Guarda, Viseu, Covilhã… those are cheap cities to live and have a great quality of live. For example on Guarda or little cities nearby, you can find 2-3 bedroom apartamentos for 300€ 🙂

  2. Hey Dave. Your list is mostly focused on touristic areas. Sure they might be the most appealling to people as you have all commodities nearby but they are also pricier. Most expats might be more interested on not so crowded places. I get it that people might be much more interested on living closer to the coast but that always comes with a price. And anywhere in Portugal is always less than 2h drive from the sea – which for many americans is like a trip to Walmart xD. It would also be interesting to show some other options that are hidden gems and might be a perfect fit for many expats with lower prices, safer and a much better overall quality of life.

I live in the center of Porto but was raised in the countryside so I know what`s the best and worse of being on a "big" city.

I recently visited for the first time a place I knew about but never got the chance to visit and oh boy, I`d move immediately, specially working remotely like I do (though my wife doesn`t) but I`m definitely considering it for a vacation house soon. It`s about 40m drive from the sea. With 150k you can get a 2 bedroom detached house and the best part of all, it`s right next to the most beautiful place in Portugal – Gerês Natural Park. This place is called Arcos de Valdevez but there are also other smaller cities that have everything you need, cost you less and will improve your life! 😉

  3. Do you know what it means to most Portuguese??? enjoy it while it lasts because in the next elections the Chega party , will reach the government and put end to this visa joke… that in a little or nothing has contributed to the increase in the quality or economical life of the Portuguese… Try to live on minimum wage in Portugal 705€ or if you want an easier challenge try to live with the average salary without taxes 1361€ after taxes 960€ "É imperativo acabar com estas borlas ficais" 🤔🤔🤔

  4. Today is our last of 30 days here in Portugal. Certainly a little less than expected, but pleasant enough.
Concern is, if the € gains strength again, the numbers could be about the same in developed areas (i.e. anywhere with easy transit access, a good lavenderia) as they are in US and result in lower QOL for same price. Certainly, further discerning research will be required.
