Just another day on our off grid goat farm in central Portugal, Dad ploughs some fields ready for sowing seed to feed the goats before the rain comes.
We take down some shade netting now winter is here and we need to think of a better solution.
There’s always jobs to do on a Portugal Homestead.

Excellent progress its always nice seeing the seed sown 👍 Lovely to see you briefly, Molly and mum, when we were looking round the village a week or so back and had stopped to enjoy the view of the barrage. Our quest is looking hopeful we may have found just the little Quinta we were searching for a little to the east of you and hope to start renovating by Christmas. We look forward to being able to be regular cheese customers 👌🤩
All the best with your goat farming. Off grid back in the UK, here on 32 acres.. We have pigs here..
hi alex, going back to the conversation u had about the goats shade, could't just tie a rope to the telegraph pole and to the near tree trunk? abraço
Sharing to everyone of Jesus Christ, He is coming back. We are spiritually saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
Nice to see that its slowly turning green again. As always a lot to do on the farm. Hopefully everything ok with molly's health. Thanks for the video!
I have just watched this new video. Thanks for mentioning my comment from last video. You will have good news in the next one for sure. I loved that naughty look of your cat. He knew what he had done but he also knew his owner. She would not punish him. (I think it is a boy?) 🐈Love Filipa.
32 acres is about 7 hectares?
🌟👏👍🍀💐
Thanks for putting in effort for making this awesome video that gives me experience all the things you can do
Kill the cat is the obvious solution……no cat you eat, with cat you don’t….what’s the issue here ?
have the same problem with cats but we love them
Hi all, A gammon and 2 labs, it was beans on toast for that evening. Stay safe and my thoughts and prayers are with yous all. Jobs build up even when it gets cooler. The list will get smaller. Hope you all had a good weekend. Stay safe, I enjoy all your videos.

Suggest you use a 20 x 20 tarp for moving brambles and sticks (either together or separately) .. rake and toss them on the tarp… and then drag the tarp by yourself, or two people drag each side…. much simpler and easier….
I think a Louva roof would diffuse the wind and shade is there any idea how to do it quick https://youtu.be/VGcw-DeYN4k
you make me wanna start youtube 😓
Keep up the good work. All the best to you!
Another great video . All useful tips for us while we start our journey on preparing our land, from the shade netting to sowing so thank you very much. We even found an old goat bell yesterday while clearing the land 🐐. It's great to see a close bond between you all. Many happy returns to Sandra hope both you enjoyed the movie. I thought I parked next to your truck the other day in Castelo Branco but it was another family. Stay safe and best wishes to you all.
👍👍👍
Good job on getting in the Sorghum Sudan grass, look around if you can get some Yellow Blossom Sweet Clover, or any reasonable priced clover, to help with nitrogen fixing, and inter plant the clover in about a month. The clover will extend your grazing period over winter as well as fertilizing your sorghum and giving excess nitrogen for next year.
Why not have a wheelbarrow next to you while pulling out the sticks? Instead of creating extra walking backwards and forwards, so inefficiently?
Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love you guys. I like farm work working together with mother nature.
Took a screenshot of the toad you saw, ran it through Google Lens. Came up Bufo Bufo (common toad). Not very exciting, but there you are.
That's just bad training. If your cat is allowed to sit on kitchen tables and counters, then you are just opening yourself up to cats knocking lids off slow cookers and stealing your food. In 30 year's of being a cat owner, I've never had any cat stealing my food.
Sorry. My experience and opinion. You did ask.
Lovin' that rain on your plowed fields with seed just waiting to pop. Hope your tests bring good news Molly.
Very naughty Fred😸! He looked quite pleased with himself 🤦🏻♀️. 😄
Glad the girls got to go to the cinema and shop a bit after Molly's follow up🙏🏼. Alex, praying for more volunteers to head your way 🤲🏼.
It's a pity yer can't store the tractor indoors.
So lovely to see the rain soon after you broadcasting the seed Alex ☔🙏🌧️💧. Hopefully you will have a good crop, fingers crossed for you 🌿🤞😊. Good luck Mollie with your GP appointment, I do hope all is okay 🤗❤️🤗
We would call him a Cane Toad 🌦🐸
Molly…sending positive thoughts for a sensible solution to your medical challenges. 🙏🧡
Hi Alex and Molly..Very satisfying to see the land turned over, the grass growing, goats well and truly blocked out of the feed shed.
Molly still 💚🐈🕊
Very cool guys! Abraços do Brasil!
