The CIPLE Portuguese proficiency test is a mandatory exam for those that are looking to get Portuguese citizenship. Everyone who is eligible for Portuguese nationality will need to take the CIPLE exam, with a few exceptions.
Golden Visa applicants won’t have to take a language test in order to get a residency permit but they will need to complete the test to get citizenship.
