A stunning Portuguese schist house for sale in need of complete restoration but located in the stunning village of Pera in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The property has a fully walled courtyard, large double gates, many original features of historical importance and the use of a free village swimming pool.

Paula aka Batwoman😆😆😆
This is one of the cutest villages you have shown. Everything would be right out your gate. Nick, Paula is going to teach you to love all the creatures in Portugal. Of course I don't think you need much encouragement. I can't imagine how much it would cost to have the stonework done on this house, if you could even find an artisan to do that these days. That alone is worth the asking price of this house. Someone with Paula's vision should buy this and bring it back to all its glory. Nick you are going to have to practice with your drone so you can fly it through the windows and show us the interior of places like this.
What a super project for someone to create a lovely village home. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing another super property in an idyllic Portuguese village.
Paula que linda propriedade para recuperar e fazer turismo rural! E a aldeia é tão gira 💕
I like the shape of this house and its stone work — oh my those stairs have the most character i've seen yet! It'll be a great rebuild project for someone with the finances and who wants to live a peaceful and not exhausted from land maintenance life. Looks like tgere's room for a nice sunny veg patch in the courtyard. And Pera seems a neat and charming village with very maneuverable streets. Your drone vantage gave a very good scope of the lay of the land👍🏼. I'd love walking around different parts every day. Batroom: I'd invite the bats🦇 to stay and protect me from mozzies🦟🦇 😁.
Did I Miss the location??
If so can you please tell me..
massive project, beautiful spot. i think 35k is more realistic.
You didn’t scream like Dawnua…;)
A nice location. I would like to see some houses which don't need total restoration in an area with views like this one. Thanks Nick and Paula! See you next time.
Mafra Palace Library has a very special force of airborne defenders: bats. And they do a good work, protecting the books.
Adorei o vídeo, a casa e a aldeia.
Nick e Paula um abraço.
That house is in such a lovely location and will be a great Reno project. Ideally located for someone who wants a lovely village location, and none of the hard work that comes with land management.
What a gorgeous village! It will be a beautiful project for whoever has the vision and the money 😊. Well done Nick and Paula!
I hate mice and not fond of bats.
Is rabies endemic in bats in Europe/Portugal as it is in the US? I sincerely appreciate the work bats do, but I wouldn't want to handle them.
Nick, When you asked paula if she was Batgirl all I could think about was the vision of her in a Spandex Batgirl Costume… Oh My, I need to go take a cold shower now !!!
That’s a nice project and it’s true location is everything. Looks amazing! I could live in a beautiful village with a ruff house but not in a ruff village with a beautiful house !
I love Paula and the videos, although I have my heart set on the Azores. I love to see the beautiful land and houses on mainland also. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ thanks
Are the bats protected as they are in the UK? Meaning that anyone wanting to fix that place up would have to take that into consideration.
Looking at similar properties on this site with prices at around 25,000 euros it made sense it being 45,000 with the village it is in…it's got so much going for it this property even parking outside is very good and the piece of land on the opposite side could still be untilized if that was ok something like a little garden make it pretty☺️👍…the views were to die for amazing and if you like the sun great for a tan, vitamin d and solar panels which you might get help from the E.U with🤔…just 1 little or maybe big thing are the bats I'll have to get Paula the bat whisperer in to say I'm sorry🤗…..there are narrow wooden structures you can make narrow and tall that could house the bats separate from the house and no one sees them and the bats are happy because there was quite a lot so always a way around things especially for such a beautiful property in a beautiful village….
I thought you were going to fly the drone in through the missing roof! 🤣
Wonderful location, beautiful stonework, someone with the right vision patience and resources will create a beautiful home there.
Thanks for sharing
Oh and Paula never ceases to amaze me, I'd have been running out of the room when the bats were flying around, not trying to have them land on my hand 😳
Uma senhora muito corajosa
❤️
awwww how sweet all the bats….
….. as I slowly reach for my flame thrower…….🤣🤣🤣
🌟🍀💐
Oh Paula, lover of books and bats, you and Nick do such a grand job of showing off properties, how they are and what they might be. And Nick, weren't you tempted to fly the drone through the open roof and show us the inside?? Maybe a GoPro on one of the bats.
What a beautiful place and area. I think its worth every penny. Gorgeous
The stone work is beautiful. It would be a big reno. Only for someone who is skilled. The village is so beautiful. I'm not sure about the bats, but they are really cute. I wonder where they would normally hang out. I wouldn't mind sharing with wildlife. Remember, if you get bit, you have 48 hrs max to get vaccinated. 🙂🙃🙂🙃👍👍
Paola …..From now on referred to as "The Bat Whisperer"…
Wow. When i heard the price i nearly schist my pants.
A ruin without garden, not worth putting in a lot of money
Jacuzzi with a pergola over it for sure!
