Costa Nova beach, is located on the west coast of Portugal, on the coast of Ria de Aveiro.

It is one of Portugal’s best beaches for water sports, as it has the Mira Canal waterfront in Ria de Aveiro in addition to the Atlantic coast. In addition to one of the oldest sailing clubs in Ria de Aveiro, the Costa Nova Sailing Club, there are kitesurfing, kayaking and surfing schools, as well as other sports, with an emphasis on one of the novelties: Paddle Surfing. A modern bike path/ecovia also runs through the beach, connecting it to the Barra Bridge and Barra beach or to Vagueira beach, located in the neighboring municipality of Vagos.
