  1. I like the second property, 3 acres with a cabin. Sound issue: Could discount the price for the cost of a wall and a fountain. Dual pane windows would alco cut the sound. A tree house on the back of the property might be a nice way to "live' away from the sound. Many blessings as you continue your adventure.

  2. Have you talked to YouTuber / vanlifer Nate Murphy? He bought and renovated a place in Portugal. Maybe he could give advice? (Edit: Maybe he's in Spain? Not sure.)

  3. Now that you spent few days in the motorhome, could you let us know if it is bearable in this heat? Any negatives we should be really worried about choosing the motorhome instead the car.
We'll be also bringing my mum on the trip.

  4. you get so use to the noise over time you will not even hear it unless it is a seriously different noise like a car accident . I lived near an airport and after awhile I did not even hear it or feel it . The only time I noticed it when family or friends were around and they experienced it for the first time

  5. Hello, there is a youtube channel "our rich journey" they moved from the USA to portugal and think you guys shold get in touch…they offer alot of help for expats.

  6. I just LOVE Portuguese Tarts yummo!!!! You are the cutest couple ever, I hope you find a wonderful new home! The 2nd property was great with lots of potential, maybe double glaze windows for the noise? 💜💙

  7. I never thought about the river beaches….you both made a good point as far as the warmth vs the ocean….I am following in hopes that you find a little community that is also vegan friendly because I really do not like cooking all the time. I want to go to restaurants often and have some fun…..but we also want a bit of land with fruit trees which does not happen too often in our price range. Or at least near civilization that has vegan friendly restaurants.

  8. Hey guys! Enjoy your content! I'm an acoustician and build recording studios in Nashville and know a lot about acoustics. The best way to reduce road noise would be to build a tall concrete block walls at least 6ft tall (taller if possible). Another decent idea would be to plant massive trees (evergreen if possible) that will help absorb some of the road noise. The best solution would be to do both and use a metal gate at least 6ft tall. This may reduce the road noise by about 30% and probably wouldn't reduce it pass 50%. Since sound is movement of air, it's hard to stop it in the open air. Hope this helps!

  9. Old Olive trees are awesome, but are messy when the fruit falls. Unless you are harvesting them, it would be a huge mess to clean up with so many trees. And you can’t leave the olives on the ground as many unwanted guest critters would be attracted. (Rats!)

  10. So envy you guys to have the ability and funds to hunt for houses abroad. I have wanted to get out of the US and was making plans to move south to a place in Mexico or Central America, then my knee went out and I have arthritis, so it is almost out of the question now. So I live vicariously though you guys and others like you who are looking for property out of the USA.

  11. Great to see you guys on the hunt, was not impressed with the ones you visited today. It would cost thousands to clean and fix up anything it that price range. Bite the bullet, spend for something in better shape. You will end up spending as much or more on a lessor property. We love your videos and the time you spend on them.

  12. If you don't know the couple on YT of Our Rich Journey, they're Americans living in Portugal and sure have knowledge to help you on visa, buying properties and other stuff.

  13. This was so exciting today! I can watch you two for hours on end. Portugal is my place to live for sure! I'm dreaming my dream through you. Can't wait till next week! Cherios! ❤️
