  2. Hi Cindy, Love your creative flarewith your Holly socks lol and the socks on the fence will definitely help the shepherd and sheep see the fence., just hope the sheep don't think they're a treat to eat. Lol Broken tiles on the table top will me nice. You could attach broken tiles to planters too. Could try putting some broken bottles into it to add different texture. Lots of things like bottle tops. Lol know you have my head on overdrive. Anyway I know you will do good and recycle what you can and it will be a masterpiece no matter whatl lol.
You should get people to send you pictures of their creations and start a Cindy Vine inspiration wall of all the things people have created whilst thinking of you. Lol Keep making me smile. hugs and kisses.

  3. I love that you repurpose things. A friend asked me once if I ever looked at something without thinking of what I could make it into. You and I are about the same age. I admire you for choosing this lifestyle.

  4. I was wondering when you were going to mention your books. You’re right, creativity is good for our mental health….no wonder I have been doing artwork since I was 6-years-old (I have an art studio and was there until 4:00 this morning). Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement. Can't wait to see the table top.

  5. Thandi is such a sweetheart! Thank you for another wonderful video. So look forward to “Cindy’s Soapies”! Hahahaha! Can’t wait to see the table and your kitchen after you have finished painting. I’m loving following your journey. If you have anyone visiting you from Cape Town in the future, please be sure to let me know as I would like to give you something i hope you will enjoy.

  6. I love mosaics I think i'm going to do a wall. There is a little shop in town that did their back exterior wall with broken dishes and broken mirrors. It's gorgeous. Your cookies are creative too and they look yummy. My whole life has been "Necessity is the Mother of Invention" Go get em girlie.

  7. I agree whole heartedly that creativity is the best medicine for our souls. It can be like a meditation. I found that working on a creative project can manage my depression and anxiety. It can bring me to a place of complete joy. For me its about the process and working with colour and light in many ways to lift my spirit. My first realization of this came from playing with buttons and beads and wire to create mobiles. They were very primitive but I was delighted with the end result. It was just for my pleasure. I have moved to polymer clay tiles , rope baskets and fibre arts. All projects fill me with hope and joy. I recommend the book Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert for anyone trying to understand the energy of creativity. Your whole life is a creative project Cindy and I really enjoy your problem solving and your desire to learn new ways of living.

  9. Hi , l would have loved your socks that are full of holes.
I enjoy creating textile art so would have enjoyed cutting them up into a new creation.
If it helps , some of the ladies that paint the outside of their cottages use a sweeping brush
to apply the paint. It covers a larger area, gets into the cracks and joints .
If you use a tray for rolling the paint , put it inside a plastic bag, you no longer need to struggle washing the tray out after use.
    Just bin the bag.
Ps often it’s a good idea to water down the first coat of paint when applying to new brick work and rendering.
The surface is very absorbent and a thick layer of paint can easily flake off.

  10. Hi Cindy, how about the big whitewash brush. It's the one with Loong bristles, spaced wide apart with a large wooden base. So not your normal brush, but one that goes into cracks. But, that's another trip to town!
    Looking good so far! 🌻
