Hi guys, I am Alex.
I am an Ukrainian expat who moved to Portugal.
No one in my family ever did any farming, But I discovered that I am very passionate about farming so recently I’ve purchased this 28 hectares Farm in Central Portugal, with the intention to start a small scale farm raising worms, cattle and sheep.
In this little farm I am also planning to build an off grid home, and be as self sufficient as possible, by growing my own food.
I created this channel to share my journey with the world, The journey of a first generation farmer, that is starting with no prior knowledge and experiences.
That maybe all the mistakes that I will make along this journey, and all the fails maybe will help some of you to learn from my mistake and not make them yourself.
I want to bring value and inspire people who are thinking about farming.
I am not a filmmaker or an editor, I am just a simple guy with a camera.
So if it is interesting to you, subscribe to the channel and you will not miss the upcoming episodes.

You're going to have to give us your Dad's name so we don't have to keep calling him Dad. 😀
Alex, you and your Dad are so in sync that you don't even have to say anything. You just adjust and align yourselves in what you're doing, like manoeuvring the first part of the moustache into exactly the right place to lift it. It's amazing to watch. 😀
Is that a sheep or is it a pet dog?🤣🤣 It follows you everywhere.
Is that a “sheepdog”.🤔
You do great job hire for your knowledge.
I personally would make a scaffold on both sides and have the lifter to pul up bigger stones.
Edit – have not sean the video to the end, and comented to early, the scaffolding looks great😉
You can make a fulcrum and use a pulley system to lift large stones into place. The guys who originally built those walls didn't have an excavator, but hey keep up the good work!
hello, are sure that Angela is a sheep and not a dog? she makes me laugh, you're doing such a great job, sorry for my bad english but i'm french
You should make smaller videos with maximum half an hour because like this almost no one will watch your video till the end.
WOW!!! What an amazing work you and your father did!!! Nice advanture you have here!! I love to watch your blog!
Your father is as strong as an ox. The wall looks great. I loved Angela zooming about in happiness. Someday I would like to see a video of your back history of what you did in Ukraine and why you left? I was thinking because of Putin but perhaps you have been in Portugal longer?
Just finished all your videos so far. Love the content but missing some background information. Where are you from, background, reason ???
Super interesting when you improvise on getting things done. Keep the videos coming. 😃
For crying out loud…..your sheep acts more like a dog……that doesn't bark!!!
That structure is amazing the window blocks, headers, corner bocks beautiful….what's even more amazing, Portugal has some very strong earthquakes and its continued to stand for hundreds of years. Do you know when it was built??
Just a question if you have so many rock, could you lift the height of the house without using bricks…
Scaffolding is handy for patio umbrellas and back scratcher too. Watch out papa with those cigarette ashes in the dry grass.
Love you're work and Angela, she's just like a dog following you around, so cute.
Your moustache is very impressive. Well done. You're both doing an amazing job 💖
Wow you and your farther done a nice job on that stone work and it matches the rest like the moustache too, your pet sheep made me laugh running around like well trained dog what a pet.
What a great job you've done there. When you put up the umbrella on the scaffold I thought you were making a rooftop bar for a cold beer after work. You deserved one😀

Loving your Vlogs Alex, I’m now all caught up – Angela is adorable! I definitely think you need the two bedrooms – you can’t share with your dad! 😂
Is your dad shy?
I’d love to hear your story, where you are from, where you live now etc – what are your plans once renovated? More building? More animals!
Loved the Hoopoe and the deer!
What a great job you and your Dad are doing, and of course Angelica the boss. I love how she inspects what you are doing. She is an incredible animal. Best wishes.

Hi Alex you and Dad are a very good team apparently its very difficult to build with stone but you guys did an awesome job! 💖 Angelica is not sure if she is a 🐑 or a 🐶 so i think she is a real "sheepdog" looking forward to future videos. Keep well greetings from South Africa 🌍

In the U.S. we called the rebar rods

Hi Alex and your Papa 😎. Your project is amazing, your Papa is a true craftsman and you will learn much from him. How you have remade the whole wall is fantastic. I so look forward to watching your channel all the way from New Zealand! 🥝

please…please…please make sure your Dad stubs out his cigarettes properly, preferably with water, unless you want a brushfire 😟
Alex, you and your dad make a wonderful team! Your ideas for moving heavy stones and straightening walls are ingenious and truly inspiring! Very glad to see that you now have scaffolding, which will obviously assist you both as you build, but also makes a fantastic scratching post for Angela, the Project Manager🐑❤️❤️❤️
Take super care, Laura🍻🍻
What an amazing job you are both doing! I love how you find so much joy in your project 🙂
