Good info. Someone mentioned that the Portugal Embassy need a prove that you have already a place to live in Portugal before they give you a visa. My question is how do you arrange a rental property when you don't know when you are going to arrive in Portugal or even whether you are granted the visa to live in Portugal?

Hi i replied to your enquiry regarding mid to southern France last week however my dilemma i have no idea if its an apartment a house or cottage you are wishing to look at ?, one major advantage about France you don't have the extreme damp issues that people see all over Portugal also 90% of the food and wine is of excellent quality regardless where you reside in the country.

I also suspect that a having a PT bank account is also useful before renting. We’ll be returning to PT in September so we can narrow down the living options in PT even if Tavira is close to my heart. 💕
