The hypocrisy of “big money football” baffles me. The bloke (and agent) is using his status to hold Man Utd to ransom- the team he is CONTRACTED to. If he wanted to be loaned or released if Champions League football was not secured, then that should have been a clause in the contract that he signed. Clearly it wasn’t. Therefore, he has to fulfil that contract. Without meaning to sound too “Roy Keane” and stating the obvious – he’s the highest paid player but he refuses to join the preseason tour for “family issues”, whilst meanwhile continuing to post pictures of his family holidays on Instagram, doing his own training, and pushing for a move away.
