The Portugal World Cup team received one of the best welcomes on their arrival in Qatar on Friday evening. Excited fans lined up along the road leading to the team hotel, Al Samriya Autograph Collection, chanting and singing praise songs to Cristiano Ronaldo and his mates. The supporters both local and from Portugal had lined up hours before the Portuguese team touched down on Qatar soil in a show of their fervent belief in the 2016 European Champions. Every fan from the toddlers to the aged, broke into loud cheers when the team bus passed by ferrying the Navigators to their base of operation over the course of the tournament. It was fairly the best reception any country has seen so far. The only squad that could break Portugal’s reception is the tournament favorites Brazil who are expected to check into their team hotel on Saturday.
