Rural Living in Central Portugal | PORTUGAL FARM LIFE S4-E06 ❤🚜🌞

Its been a busy week as we try to get back into the swing of things after quarantining for two weeks for Covid. We have a big backlog of commissioned property videos to catch up on and this week its been full steam ahead but I have managed to film a short FARM LIFE vlog for you still 🙂

We catch up with one of our neighbours, Costa who has been very ill for the last week (Not Covid related) and we pop into Joaquim’s farm and check out his awesome vintage Ford tractors. He is also doing some building work on farm and is adding a walkway and awning to the outside of his sheep milking area.

We hope you enjoy the episode. Thanks for watching. See you all again next week ❤

We are Ken & Gina and we left the UK in 2019 in search of a simpler life away from our office jobs and the hustle and bustle of the big city. We sold our house, left the UK and left the Rat race behind us to move to Portugal and buy a farm. We found an amazing farm in Castelo Branco Central Portugal where we have lived for the last two and a half years.

  1. I'm glad your personal experience with COVID wasn't serious. Mine (vaccinated) wasn't, either, but my sister-in-law (unvaccinated) died from it. Please don't minimize the danger of this disease. The effects have greatly impacted not only her immediate family, but our family as well as we try to comfort and support them.
I think most of us have let our guard down too early since variants continue to develop.

  2. Love the closeup shots of the flowers with music at the end of the video. The whole video is wonderful of course. Your life looks so calm in Portugal. You guys must be so happy that you made the decision to move there.

  3. Glad to hear you’re feeling better Ken, and again you’re out & about 👍🏻 How is Gena doing? Hope she’s also well 🙏🏻 missing your wonderful videos 💕

Are you thinking of buying any new equipments, like a mini tractor and so on? If you do can you plz let us get an idea of how much they cost in Portugal?

Take care and keep healthy 🌸

  4. Beautiful weather and ride through town. We have delayed an extended vacation in Portugal, first a broken leg and then COVID. Since we are seniors, are vaccines and treatments and testing widely available in Portugal?. We love your videos. Ciao to you and Gina.

  5. Hi, Ken 👋🏼😊 I very much enjoyed tagging along with you on your bike ride into town. Tho i think your fatigue is from the omicron covid as it seems to take a longer while for folks to clear up completely. My super healthy, vaccinated young cousin had bad symptoms for 2 weeks and still has some recurrent symptoms 2 months layer that just come on randomly. My friend's boosted brother took 11 days to get thru his bout. Another lively friend had the worst symptoms for a day and half but still suffers fatigue and coughs since exposure nearly 2 weeks ago. Covid just runs survivors ragged.

And Omicron can still be fatal for folks with underlying conditions, so i have to super careful (and isilated 🥺). I care for my elderly mom, if i get covid… there's no one to take care of me or her. So i'm glad you're much better and i appreciate your visit with neighbors, your joy from all the creatures and pretty blossoms you encounter. I pray Mr. Costas heals well and feels better. Bless you for looking in on him 🤗. Maybe if you ever cook up a bunch of pizzas or a huge cauldron of stew, bring a pie or hot soup over to him and also to Joachim… the nights are still cold.

Keep feeling better, guys. Thanks for the beautiful vlog. 💖

  6. We will pray for your friends! He’s so cute .. also need you help on kitchen appliances!! Be nice to make a video on that for people who are planning on moving there what’s best to take! I have many appliances and need that help😍plzzzz

  7. I hope Costa and you feel better. ❤Sending good energy to Costa. Love your Portugal videos. I am planning to retire soon. What do you think about retirement in Tomar?✨🌅

  8. It's nice to see you getting around and enjoying the great weather. Joaquim is a very skilled farmer, I really like him. Please tell him that I admire him a lot.

  9. I feel for Costa, I would make a return visit with a nice gift to make him feel good, man you’re clips are faultless, the dialogue, angle, etc, solid neighbours with unlimited knowledge of soil and farming don’t forget to spend quality time with them. The trouble is now some other clips are hard to watch via YouTube as they haven’t mastered the art of filming as you have, so grab a cold one have a Braai sit back and smile

  10. You're one of the lucky ones, covid is affecting some people very badly & some are still losing their lives. My sister in law's quality of life is very poor because of covid & will not improve sadly.
Keep enjoying your lovely life, it helps the rest of us escape from our maybe not so lovely lives!!
