As many of you know Bee has suffered from depression and PMDD for a number of years, there are times when she needs to step back to rest and recuperate, and one of those times is now.
The banister build is well underway, as is life on our small farm with a visit from the vet to vaccinate our four goats and figure out what that lump is in Matildes mouth…

Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

  1. So sorry to Bea- I also suffer from this and it can be REALLY bad and debilitating for me as well. Can't work or socialize, I feel useless and SO tired and in joint pain that it turns very depressing.

  2. Thinking about the both of you. Sending positive energy that things will improve for Bee. I am sorry that you are not feeling well Bee. Take care of yourself. Theo your an amazing support to Bee I hope you realize. Take care of yourself as well. When it's a loved one these things can be really hard to nativagate not just for Bee but for you too. I hope your mates are there for you Theo, take care of yourself. My best regards to you both and that sometime away and rest will help. Sending prayers.

  3. You know my heart is with you as Bee continues her journey to healing and you are apart
But i have to tell you
    This was a great video
    Interesting
    Informative and such excellent cinematography
And the editing, Theo, was in point
    Enjoyed all the information 🤗

  4. Personally I think Bea's heart is back in the UK with her family and friends.
There is a huge difference between traveling around the world in a van knowing that at the end of a trip you are going back home to your loved ones.
When you move to another country in a isolated area it does not matter how many chickens , goats , veg gardens you provide it does not stop the other person from missing home and loved ones.
If this is the case then the best thing they can do is to turn the house into a rental return to the UK and continue with your travels and Bea will have peace of mind knowing she is returning back home to her loved ones.
Not everyone can cope being isolated.
Maybe I'm wrong but surely the big cities in Portugal could have treated her but she keeps going back to the UK which tells me one thing blood is thicker than water.

  5. Oh that is sad news that Bee has been suffering while keeping effervescent & happy! It’s great that the animals & property will keep u busy Theo as this is hard on u as well! How is that kitchen going as that would be a challenge while Bee is away? Maybe your friend could help with that as well? 🤔😃

  6. Hey theo, I live with my husband’s bipolar for nearly 28 years now, he’s mediated and he has tms treatment every three months, but it’s still a nightmare for him sometimes, it may never change for bea no matter how nice your home is. It’s not your fault or hers, just love each other and take the bad times on the chin together too. Xxx

  7. Prayers for you both. Theo you are such a trooper at keeping the projects and property going. As a "caregiver" I fully understand it's as hard on you during these times thinking of you both.
Thanks for sharing your lives with us it's a pleasure watching from over the "pond". Blessings
