SHOCK! Macron urged to leave EU by French – ‘Minimum wages in the UK are higher than ours!’
THE UK’s minimum wage is higher than France – fuelling calls to exit the EU across the Channel.
In the UK, it has risen by a third since 2015, currently sitting at £8.91 – or €10.63 – an hour. This is just above the French minimum wage of €10.57. In April, however, it will jump another 6.6 percent to £9.50, or €11.30 – well above France’s level. In this period, inflation has risen by 20 percent.
