  1. Corinne, thank you for all you have done to create this community full of enthusiasm and beautiful craftmanship. Your house looks lovely and like a true sanctuary. We are all in this thing called life together…helps to have plenty of your gorgeous yarn to cushion the journey. I went to Dartmouth so I know your area well. Take good care and love the podcasts so much.

  2. First of all, I hope that your new old house will be a refuge as well as a place of growth and happiness for you and your children (you're right that the kitchen looks heavenly). Secondly, I have castonitis with all those yummy sweater sets! Thirdly, can't wait to knit Emma's Jane Bennet socks when they're released. Fourthly, I feel so lucky that this shopcast has introduced me to Denise of Earthtones Girl because she is a delight and a very talented designer (did I have to pause the shopcast when she mentioned Tolkien and Bilbo's front door and go put the pattern in my Ravelry cart? Yes. Yes I did.) Fabulous episode, and I am just getting the yoke of my Mooch by Kate Davies sorted out before I cast on socks from my sock bag. Cheers! PS, what a fun mini-tour of Fair Isle we got–lamb nonsense for the win!

  3. Omg, Junction Mill Pebbles is so beautiful, I can so see a sweater in that, or the No Sweat Shirt from Parknknit would look heavenly in it, imo. The colors of their Making Tracks yarn are wonderful, my favorite so far.

  4. Awesome show as always, full of knitting encouragement and inspiration. Thank you for the interview with Denise. I'm not knitting the sock pattern in her No Fear Sock Knitting course but I am happily watching the series. I've knit several pairs of socks and I get a nugget of information on each episode that I never knew before that is improving my knitting and enjoyment of the process. I really appreciate all that the Woolly Thistle team does:)

  5. Well done with another rich and satisfying episode! Special thanks for Corinne's chat with Denise. I was amused and reassured by their acknowledgement of the charge we knitters get from turning a heel. After knitting through decades of professional meetings, civic committees and the vicissitudes of family life I have made hundreds of socks and I still get a buzz when I see that cup for the heel and the proper number of stitches on either side. If no one ( or just my husband!) is around I say 'YES' and put my fist in the air. I don't think I'll ever grow out of this type of response. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone!

  6. What a great pod cast! I love listening to y’all go over the news of the knitting days and the shop, but this time around, was the Adventure to Fair Isle, and then if that wasn’t enough We got to meet Denise DeSantis Earthtones Girl! I could listen to her all day! For me, she will always be the “Sock Whisperer”! It just doesn’t get better,
cause “all knitting is good knitting”!

  7. Talk about coming home! This shopcast was so much like coming home in every way- the wonderful lambs from Jean Flores, the warmth between you and Maggie, the comaraderie between you and Denise and your new home… whew! Loved it all❣️

  8. Dear Corinne, it warms my heart to see your beautiful new home! after the split from my partner, all I wanted, was a home, nobody could take away … so, I bought it myself!
As always so much interesting content, I learn something every time I watch! … and the little trip to Fair Isle has been so relaxing, loved it!

  9. Hi Corinne, another great podcast, so loved it !! Know that we will continue supporting the woolly thistle and all the beautiful yarns and books and kits and inspiration you bring to us! I ‘ve been thinking of New Hampshire so much as we have sweltering heat here in the Hudson Valley NY , i managing to knit in the ac when I’m home and listening to the cozy podcast!!

  10. Wonderful podcast. I just completed my first sock set with the shadow wrap heel using Denise’s video. I love the fit and it is much faster. I very much enjoy the different segments you showcase in your podcast. Your new home sounds so charming.

  11. Thank you Corrine for letting your followers/ friends and loyal customers into your personal world! I love your new home! Many blessings to you and your family! I am still finishing my second Hap, not doing the dock Kal but strongly considering the sweater Kal. Love the cardigan from Daughter of a Shepard! I think the world of you and Maggie! ❤️

  12. TWT has done it again! I learned more during this Shopcast about sock knitting. Emma is a joy to watch. I can tell she LOVES her sock knitting and I love that fact. She shares with us as well! It was nice meeting Denise the Earthtones Girl. I think I am going to give one of her patterns a try.

  13. Warm wishes Corinne – you're a model for us all in handling change! And this episode didn't skip a beat – loved the segment with Earthtones Girl – wonderful… All good as always! And me too – I love the length of your videos – lots of time to hang out together 🙂

  14. I love the interview with Denise. I will check out the Earthtones Girl youtube channel. There is always more to learn about sock knitting! I keep looking at the Sock Bag that is available, and now I am definitely inspired to purchase a bag!

  15. Sounds odd but breaking up with my husband was the best thing that ever happened to me, before he left I spent my life tending to him and his needs….once he’d gone I found all this free time on my hands (I’m super low maintenance hahA) so I looked into knitting again – something I hadn’t had time to do since my childhood. And wham…..my life had meaning and direction again. I discovered a passion for yarn and all things Woolie which has mapped out my life and I love it!!! Now I spend my time feeding my desires and developing my mental health through something I love. Sharing free time with amazing people like you gives me extra things to look forward to as my online family & friends are always there “)

  16. Loved the visit to Fair Isle. The puffins, the sheep, the museums and flights. Now I need to watch Rachel's museum episode that Jean mentioned. The knitwear in Fair Isle museum is stunning. Whalsay Island has a wee museum too and if one is lucky the person tending the museum that rainy day will regale with incredible stories of the life and history specific to that island and the families of old. Thank you for another wonderful shopcast.

  17. I really enjoyed watching this episode while I knit. I loved seeing the Fair Isle and Shetland footage especially the darling lambs. The yoga section is another favorite. Thank you.

  18. Thank you for such a rich podcast – loved every minute. For summer sweater knitting, I used a piece of foam core board on my lap – it is sturdy enough to hold my sweater but so light weight. And a piece of it costs only $5 or $6 on most hobby stores.
