From Lisbon, we set off on a fun day trip to Sintra to see Portugal’s most colorful castle— the Pena Palace. This vibrant castle is located high up on a mountain with 360 views of the whole city, and it honestly looked like it came straight out of a fairytale. After tasting a variety of different petiscos at a local eatery, we visited the Quinta da Regaleira, an inverted tower with an underground cave system. Our busy day exploring Sintra ended back in Lisbon, where we tried some more traditional dishes, as well as porco preto, and enjoyed a splendid night time show of fado music.
