The ETIAS is not as simple as Ana stated! You fill out your form on line with your passport number and you have to fill out the criminal record check that is part of the ETIAS form. Dependent on your criminal record (if you have one) is whether you are granted a Visa. criminal damage, any violence like assaults etc and any drunk and disorderly convictions stands a very strong chance of your Visa being denied! Furthermore when you are granted your Visa on the first arrival at the border you will have your photo and finger prints taken by border control. This is factual information on how the ETIAS will be granted
Flights everywhere is problematic, risky cancellations, avoid a tight schedule
People are already debating whether they really want/ can afford Spain this year. Every extra bit of hassle/expense is another person thinking oh bollox we won't bother this year.

Now they have finally agreed the driving licences maybe the stupid 90 day rule next!
i can guarantee ETIAS %200 will reduce the travel ,layovers and stop overs to Schengen Area. Not only UK citizens also US,Canadians, Australians'Japanese and other travellers will be dropped dramatically.
Ana I understand wat ur saying about a practical test as our tests here are very very strict but if Spain are saying we have to do a test then so be it it’s a problem like.
