  1. Hola Stuart Turkey 🇹🇷 is not cheaper the lira is only buying you half what it was last year. It is a really interesting country but definitely not cheap not these days. All inclusive yep but a beer will cost you 350 or 4 euros and food isn't cheap too

  2. I think many young Spaniards are obsessed with learning English, it's just that the level of knowledge is so bad that it's virtually impossible for an English speaker to understand.
More native speakers such as yourself are needed to teach the language as the majority of persons seem to have been taught by Spaniards themselves that haven't got a clue.
Ive got a key ring that I bought with the emblem of Real Madrid stating " Real Madrid, the best club of the world" not "in the world".
I was explaining to the person that served me , how incorrect that statement was.
He replied that he was told by a local that's a "Catedratico de ingles" that it was correctly written.
The whole ordeal was unbelievably laughable.
He then proceeded telling me that Spaniards were taught " el ingles de Oxford" hahaha. To which I replied it was more like "el ingles de Carabanchel".lol

  3. Turkey is a good tourist destination for the balds after all. Also for people who suffer from psoriasis, really. Now Turkey begins to offer a week of tourism and dentist. Don't even think of fixing the teeth in Turkey. Three Turks I know in Ciudad Real and all three are trying to grab people to hotels and dentists in Turkey. They even printed flyers about it.

  4. Some times I think that some Brits are among the Europeans with the worst English. Like some Spanish more or less from Cádiz or Murcia who have the worst Spanish skills in the world.
Young Spanish people speak more and better English than my generation.

  5. Vodafone / Telefónica – they are useless, they have no idea about costumers service, it’s almost impossible to get in touch with them, they just take money from your account when they like – don’t go there!

  6. La razón de los españoles al no aprender ingles es que no lo necesitan. Y tampoco quieren subyugarse al mundo angloparlante si el hispanohablante es lo suficientemente grande.

  7. I think it is obvious why Spain fails at English compared to other countries. Spanish people tend to have a lot of pride over their language and are ver6 stubborn and headstrong about accepting a new one. One such example is their persistence to have every form of media dubbed in Spanish, which in my opinion is horrible considering there are only 12 people that do all the voices for every instance, making Arnold or Stalone sound just like everybody else? Blasphemy.

  8. Thank you for your mention. But seriously I do not think that the majority of tourists from the UK or elsewhere really for one or two weeks give a flying monkeys about the human rights issues in Turkey or elsewhere…as long as it is cheap. (Considering the costs back home with cost of living compared to all inclusive available there). But to level the arguement up, thousands of people are off to Qatar to watch a very bent world cup, with numerous football pundits lining their pockets with millions of dodgy dosh, on the way. So it is a bit unfair on Turkey I guess…

  9. These oil spills can really last. Playing in an England vs Rest of the World beach football match in Santa Barbara CA, after an hour or so my trainers were an inch thick in glupy oil from under the surface of the sand. You would never believe it as the beach looked pristine.

  10. I think the reason the level of English is lower in Spain, is for the simple fact that people don't need to speak it unless they are in the tourism or IT sectors. It also seems that English is taught mainly by native Spanish speakers instead of native English speakers. Before streaming platforms, most of the films were dubbed over too, so it's another form of learning lost. In the Netherlands, the level of English is better for a few reasons, nobody speaks Dutch/Flemish outside the Netherlands or Belgium so you have to learn English and if you want to study a lot of the books are also in English. The teaching of English in the Netherlands is often by native English speakers. I do love your dry humour. Thank you for all your hard work.
