  1. Passed my first Spanish class test of the year with an 85%. It’s level A 1-2. Still need to improve my listening skills.
It’s interesting to see who else is studying Spanish here in Madrid. My classmates are from Morocco, Czech Republic, Bangladesh, the Ivory Coast, the Philippines, and 3 from Ukraine.

  2. Currar…here in Uruguay they use the word 'laburo' and 'laburar'. Argentina too. I think it has roots in the Italian word "lavoro". Many Italian immigrants came to this part of the world.

  3. Please stop blaming external infuences for mass tourism. It exists because Spanish authorities and individuals themselves invite it into the country to make as much money as possible. It is the Spanish themselves who are to blame for it. If they don't want it then ban the cruise ships, ban the flights, ban package holidays, ban coach tours and ban holiday rentals.

  4. A UK couple spending the Winter in the Canary Islands will still have to pay Council Tax, electricity, gas and water standing charges on their UK property. And any broadband and TV monthly fees. And their UK property will still have to be heated to some extent to prevent frost damage to pipework and momld from dampness. This all adds up to about £200 to £300 a month for a property they aren't living in.

  5. I can't believe how big Halloween is here in Madrid. It's bigger here than in Sydney. I hate it. I didn't like it in Sydney and hate it more here. I didn't grow up with the Halloween tradition either.

  6. 08:58….renting is going crazy in Cataluña…I was applying for a rental in Terrassa 470 per month at agencia and was denied, since my salary 1600 after tax was not sufficient🤣 Never experienced this before in 10 years in Cataluña? Usually they didn't care, as long as you paid your rent!

  7. Agree…nothing new Nordics and north Europeans escape to Spain during winter time. Only difference this year mostly more due to the prices of heating up north. "Energy tourism"…..great new word👍 Cheers from Barcelona 🇪🇸♥️

  8. Pretty sure those windmills are at Mota del Cuervo, usually the 2 places with windmills in La Mancha that are most often seen in the media or in pictures are Mota & Consuegra, but I think the place in that background shot is Mota.
