When it comes to forcing people to wear helmets and take out insurance, please tell me the difference between an E-Scooter and an E-Bike? They are both governed to not exceed 18 Kph when they leave the factory although they can go much faster.

I'll just say this, and I say it for my own country's government as well. if your government can't pay down a portion of the national deficit or debt during a windfall of revenue, then that is not a serious and responsible government and should be thrown out on its keister at the earliest opportunity. Hello Stu, how are Spain and and Greece going to get around Schengen ruling regarding only being able to spend a maximum of 90 days out of 180 days for us Brits? Maybe people would spend the winter in Spain but don't want to use up all there (allowed time) in one go.
I am hoping that the Spanish government will do a deal with the British government to allow the return of the free movement of people. I, for one, would be very tempted to relocate to Spain if the border was open.

A few points, I arrived back in Malaga airport on Saturday and there were no Covid checks at all. Secondly it’s great e scooters riders will be forced to have insurance but this needs to extend out to those that ride bicycles on the public road, a couple of years ago a cycle rider crashed into my car causing over 500 euros worth of damage and he simply walked away without any responsibility for the damage he caused!

Finally no wonder so many companies here do not give full time or proper work contracts when the government make it so hard for employers to sack a bad worker. The government are being stupid and short sighted on this front since all those not employed correctly means less taxes and social security paid and more black money in circulation.

It would of been a great idea to come and spend the winter in Spain, unfortunately, due to the brexit vote, I can only spend 90 days per six month period in Spain or Greece !!

Hi Stu , just arrived in Torrevieja and noticed no covid checks at the airport , did the same trip 4 weeks ago and they were still a few desks and personnel but even then they just waved everyone through, now its all gone.

I live In NYC. E-bikes and e-scooters are a menace to our city. They do not obey any of the traffic rules and have caused numerous accidents. Hope NYC follows Spain’s example with having owners insuring those devices.

I get automated response almost and told I should not feel scared when going out.

They on and say they are proud of Barcelona as less than 10% of the population within the metropolitan area own cars.

They also include links which highlight the current laws and say I should make a complaint to the Guarda Urbana not them.

I appreciate their hands are full however I wish they had a better attitude.

In the morning I see parents going through the same thing as they are taking their kids to school, no use these days trying to teach them when the man is on green they can cross, as a e scooter or bicycle speeds by. Its embarrassing and being buried under the "green agenda"

I want a change in the mindset, the video I posted in a comment some ago is typical of the attitude of many at the moment.
