  1. Here in the usa, the price of oil per barrel does correspond to the increased price they imposed, pres biden reported this, then the price of gas began a slow decline. I’m glad the gas companies will be taxed higher on their profit, it may have an effect on their business goals, along with the option not to drive using the free state transports.

  2. I would assume the double-digit inflation is affecting the various regions of spain differently. Is the catalina region pushing more towards separation? What’s your guess for the state of spain in general for 2023-2024?

  3. The 160 billion thing sounds like an excuse, Germany France United Kingdom have more than that, and they do not modernize their infrastructure, and your way of saying it seems that Spain could not do anything new without foreign money…

  4. Hola Stu!! I just returned from Spain last Friday and really enjoyed my travels there! The people, food, drinks, and historical buildings were all amazing. We will surely be back again and can’t wait for our next trip. Until then, I’ll keep up with Spain’s current events through your channel. Adios! Rae from San Diego.

  5. Spain’s Consumer Price Index reaches highest level in 37 years
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) jumped by 1.5 points to 10.2 percent, the highest level since 1985, according to data from Spain's National Institute of Statistics (INE). Tony cuenca

  6. Every leader has chosen to blame Putin for the current economic crisis, absolutely shameful, the only way to improve the current situation is to revise the current energy policies, yes I agree we need to reduce carbon, however, the current policies are damaging the transition, the working class are being targeted, but what about the banking section, they could ease the situation by adjusting their policies to relieve the costs currently taking large charges out of the system. The budgeting for the household would be substantially improved with this relief 🥲

  7. You mentioned the London Underground system (647 KM) is old but the new Elizabeth Line is slick and modern.also is serves the 9 million population of London. Madrid’s Metro(293 KM) serves 6.6 million as a comparison.Pedro

  8. Spain could power all of Europe with solar, yet it can't even power itself. Where is the ambition Pedro, where is the long-term plan and vision? EU + Spain needs to get its act together and fast. Climate change is happening before our eyes.

  9. It is great saying that T4 terminal in Madrid is fab etc, but it is only used by the IAG group, (like the newish modern T5 at Heathrow), but try transferring from T1 or T2 in Madrid and you go back in time to horrible hot, busy old terminals, with poor facilities, so don't be fooled by T4 and T4S they do not represent Madrid airport completely.

  10. Stu I always am late to your live show. I am very curious the last time I was in Spain was 2014. The Euro/dollar conversion was 1.20 now 1.01 what is the % of inflation currently? Just trying to figure out what I will need for 45 days visit.
    Thank you

  11. Logic give away free travel the tax payer will have to pay for it…. Increase exports decrease imports produce more of your own goods cheaper… Not to difficult really but the rich and powerful don't give a shit… Tony cuenca

  12. Spain is on its arse at the moment… Will it get better… Does Spain get gas from Russia if not what the fuck is PS talking about probably through his arse… Tony cuenca

  13. Hi Stewart thank you for your very informative show we moved back to the UK better the devil you know than the devil you do not we have cut down on our food shop and lost lots of weight so win win I think bless you your a star ⭐

  14. I hope they (the Spanish Government) will consider a sliding tax scale on income for autonomos, instead of a flat increase every year across the board.
Interesting to see the currency today 1 USD = 1Euro. If I am not mistaken, this is a first in history.
BTW Stuart, How come you have not left for Portugal yet (as you do other years around this time)
The bullfighting and the bull run are truly very disturbing.
Saw a news alert today that the UK has reached the highest heat in history, with a state of heat alarm. (i think they mentioned 31deg?). Today in Valladolid we reached 39degrees. Tomorrow we can expect 41deg.

  15. The mass transit system here in Madrid is top notch. Trains and buses can take you anywhere you need to go in the city. There's a bus to the airport ($1.50) within a 5 min. walk from our piso. Another bus will take you directly to the train station. The metro and the buses are clean, safe, air conditioned, and affordable. If you're over 65 years old, the monthly unlimited ride pass is a whopping $3.50
Sure beats buying petrol. 😎 Dave
