Upon completing my doctoral program in August of this year, I plan to visit Portugal to see a few of these beautiful homesteads in person. While family ties mean I'll have to divide my time with the US, I'm growing increasingly confident that I want to purchase a property in Central Portugal with the idea of it being my primary home base. This property has a lot of potential, the house was so large & could be made into a beautiful home. The wind did not affect the sound, Nick, everything was very clear & loved hearing the birds.I would forget the chicken pen & make a lovely garden Area to sit & relax so beautiful, you were right the view was gorgeous. That's my favorite so far!!!What a cracker of a property..So much potential!!Pretty much perfect with some nice flat land…Me and 20+ dogs and lots of other animals could live there happily..Dream Animal sanctuary life stuff :o) Amazing price too.

Hi do they have annual council rates ? For , Water , power etc for living in a village and do you pay the same rates if your off grid . Love the Video

first of all,thanks for your videos.and a question:in my country(iran)when we buy a land or house we pay a tax just on the deal but after that there is no taxes on that property anymore(expect we rent it to other person)but i know that in many countries are not like that and you have a annually tax.i heard that in this case portugal is like iran ,is it true ? or after make a deal for a property we should also pay an annually tax for that?

That's a massive property which would need a massive investment also to put into them to get all the buildings sorted out to try to make a income back from .. if it's a tourist area which warrants the accommodation.
