  1. Hi Joric, do you know if being a member of the EU(holding an Irish passport) living in the US, but moving to Portugal in 2023, effects my Taxes in Portugal and US? I will be on Social security and perhaps working a little while living in Portugal for an American Company. Your thoughts? Obrigado, JP

  2. Thanks Joric. Apologies not necessary for such a critical topic. Question: Do (or did) your PT and US tax advisors consider your status (US citizen resident in PT) or did you take all the info they provided and put it together yourself? I ask because I wouldn’t necessarily know if a US tax advisor would necessarily appreciate nuances like the NHR program or if a PT tax advisory would consider the pros/cons of the NHR (heard both pro and con) given a US-citizen also needs to pay US taxes. Hopefully my question makes sense. Cheers.
