SCAMMERS – Don’t fall for their low prices – you’ll pay more in the end in either time and/or money. These fraudulent scam artists claimed there was damage on the back passenger side of our returned rental car (there wasn’t). They attempted to back up their claim with photos of the back DRIVER side (no damage there either). Now, two years later, they have sent us to collections. We will not be intimidated by these scam artists!
SIXT investors – be aware – SIXT (partly via its franchises) seems to retain it's rental car levels revenues at pre-covid levels partly by (potentially) frauding customers via significant repair bills (which are not accurate & only processed after initially happy customers returned to their respective home countries)
– Also see the extensive amount of trust-pilot reviews on these topics (practices identified across different countries)
Maybe you need to review that statement… I’m a Gold Card Member with Sixt and even that didn’t save me from your terrible customer service and treatment. Rented a car at Lisbon Airport with the option of the toll reader included. When doing the check in, the agent offered me an upgrade to an Audi. For that I had to cancel my current booking online and he would do a new booking at the same rate with the upgrade. Only he forgot to add the toll option… To my surprise a few months later I received a letter to pay a total of 74 euros in toll charges plus a 386 euros fine from the toll provider. Sixt denied any responsibility as it was not in the rental contract (of course not the agent did not do his job correctly) and even tough it was in the booking confirmation as an option it was not in the rental agreement. They offered me as compensation a 50 euros voucher for an upgrade… Keep them as I will never again rent with Sixt. Maybe your employees should watch this video e few more times Mr. Sixt
interesting video, why do you refuse business when customers have brought all documentation for the rental? and also find any reason to turn people away when they do not take insurance or an upgrade
THIS COMPANY TOOK MY CREDIT CARD DETAILS THEN SAID THE TRANSACTION DID NOT GO THRU I GAVE THEM ANOTHER THEY TOOK THE FEE OFF BOTH WHEN I COMPLAINED LATER THEY REFUNDED THEN TOOK THE SECOND PAYMENT AGAIN CROOKS STILL ARGUING TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK
Be very careful. Sixt has no interest in assisting you if you rent overseas. While the company has no issue in earning royalties and profits from these places, they have no interest in being held accountable. Profits over service.
So ironic this video because this company literally stole £100 off me. They took a £500 deposit and £100 insurance (transaction total £600) then refunded me the £500 kept the £100 and then charged me a further £100 and told me they refunded me the full £600 1st. The deposit doesn't show on my statement so I can't get proof from my bank either. They clearly made an error but aren't prepared to rectify their mistake they just kept the extra £100
