Dan is hard at it again this week, working his magic on our Dream Kitchen for our Portuguese farm. This week we’re land-bound, so we’re marking the best with the materials we have on hand to finish the first massive cabinet!

45 weeks ago, we bought an abandoned farm in Tras-os-montes, North Portugal. We’re building our dream house with a public garden, an ice cream kiosk, and our dream house optimized toward minimalist yet comfortable living. But we’re not just building a house – we’re bringing back to life an entire Portuguese Homestead and working on self-sufficiency. We left the Rat trace for a simple life in North Portugal. And this is a slice of our dream and a new simple life.

Now I hope as I am typing this that your rain has abated. We even heard over here that that Portugal had had a lot of rain. Like most I am getting ready for Christmas this week and then in a flash it is over and on to the next thing.   28. Hello Dan and Cindi, we just lived through 3 weeks of rain here so I understand the weather problems. Can't plan anything. Dan, that cabinet is fantastic, you have thought of everything. Cindi you almost had too much help painting the inside of the drawers with Mason and Elroy trying to help. So cute. Merry Christmas and a Happier New Year. Thank you so much for sharing.

  42. Looking good. There’s a YouTuber in Chicago called the Modustrial Maker. He makes white concrete sinks and benches. Very creative and beautifully artistic. 🇦🇺🎸⚡️🤘🏼🤘🏿💋❤️
