  1. Hi guys hope your all settled in after your nightmare travels, Can't wait to see how this property progresses,
And your new life in Portugal 🇵🇹.
    Sean & Mary Belfast. 👍

  2. The horse shoe by the door is upside down to let the good luck flow out into the house & stop evil from entering.
Your new home looks like a fantastic project, glad the three of you got there safely.
The broom made of twigs is a besom, it's a traditional construction. Also useful if you're a witch 🧙‍♀️.
The piece of timber maybe some unfortunate animal would have it over their neck with a bucket each side, or maybe a person would have it on theirs to go & fetch water themselves.

  3. Hi, new sub here and I'm looking forward to following your progress. We live in France and the French also hang their horseshoes opposite to the English. The horseshoes guard against bad luck spirits and if the shoe is hung our way, the spirits can sit on the bottom of the U & bring bad luck. That, apparently is the reason to hang them this way. 😊😊😊

  4. I have heard scary things about these new smart meters affecting people with frequencies and catching fire. Which absolutely could be lies, so just feel it out ,literally . Personally I'd move it to the least used area possible just in case. I'm so excited for you both ❣️ what an adventure ❣️❣️❣️

  5. Great! Welcome to our tiny country and enjoy the peace out the rat race!
The device its a grain mill, you can make corn flour and make one of the Portuguese traditional corn flour bread

  6. Super, two days without sleep and you bought a museum 🤣 But seriously a lovely place, potentially, just a quick spring clean and you are away….
It's strange how jealous I am of all the hard work you have ahead of you. Great video taking us along on your journey 👍

  7. Nice video! Congratulation on your purchase…but looks like ( sorry to say ) a communist prison inside…Looking forward to see de "road" to a livable house… What a difference between your ex-house and this shed…. You are really heros.

  8. Looking at Ted's face, every step of your journey was hilarious. Definitely, deserving of a few treats. I'm sorry but the first thing to go would be the mattresses!!!! As you were touring the bathroom and looking out the window, I was picturing Sarah out at the orange tree, nabbing some fruit…Ha! Congratulations on the move!

  9. I once had the same problem fitting the dog carrier inside the rental car at the airport, so I took it apart ( bottom and top halves come apart and inserted the top part inside the bottom part and the dog sat in the back seat 🙂 problem solved ! Boa sorte e bem vindo a este país maravilhoso! (Best of luck and welcome to this amazing country! )

  10. We used to have a superstitious Swedish neighbour who put the horseshoe on her door upside down. My superstitious mum told her that the luck would fall out if she left it like that and the neighbour said she leaves it upside down so the devil can't get in. I had them both sectioned.

  11. Does bottle's are wine, you have to open it gently without mixing it and pouring the wine to the glasses slowly. That wine looks quite old, the place were it is looks cool so the wine should be good still. Maybe it will not be very strong due to the region we're it's been produced but should be OK. We'll done and the best of 🍀 to u 2. 👍😀
