The Truth about Brexit | Explained by Dhruv Rathee

On 31st January 2020, The United Kingdom finally separated from the European Union. In this video, I explain the history and the build up of both super-national organisations of United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and European Union which is made up of 28 different European countries. You will understand the geopolitics behind this issue and it will make you wonder, what exactly is a country and how should a nation /nationalism be defined?

  1. I wished if Indians were not so fixated on nationalism and patriotism without understanding the purpose of it. I agree to your point that it's not that important. Especially if it forces you to turn a blind eye to modern day problems in the name of patriotism.

  2. இதுல என்ன இருக்கு எங்க பண்ணாலும் எப்பிடி பண்ணாலும் கல்யாணம் கல்யாணம் தானே நான் happyya தான் இருக்கேன்

  3. If there is something being done, and if it is being done by a conservative, then it's without a doubt 100% wrong. Conservatives are at the root of every problem in the world. Their idiology needs to be iradicated.

  4. 4:54 did you notice that there's a green color in south america too?
Well it's not wrong, that part's name is " French Guiana", it hasn't got independence from France and it's still a French territory, and hence France shares the longest border with any one country, it's Brazil.

  5. Since Scotland is a nation in itself, it can be said that their decision to break away from UK is right,in regards where theyre considering the will of the Scotish people. It is a form of nationalism in itself.
Also, in my opinion I suppose that even if the concepts like nationalism is imaginative in nature, people feel this way due to the love they have for their "nation". If all the people living on earth were to consider themselves to be global citizens, then it'd be a different issue. But different nations have different languages, culture, traditions and if the barriers were to be lifted we couldve had an amalgamation but a korean would never accept an indian as a n individual w equal origins and vice versa. Now if this idea of doctating boundaries was applied from the start of the civilizations, today we'd actually have no boundaries. Global citizens forreal.

  6. Nationalism: it was done for Scotland and Scottish people .
Internationalism: it was done for their economy, employment and job opportunities and import and export trade for their country .
Regionalism : it was done for their region so they make their currency same as other European countries and make their country allign with European union and exit from Britain and Wales .
