  1. The deck is looking good but I think I would cut down and maybe pull up that grass and weeds growing behind it to help keep snakes and other critters from getting back there. Yes, I know, more work but will help in the long run because it’s gonna just keep growing taller and taller. Those snakes gave me the creeps, poisonous or not. Maybe lay down some more of the weed cover to help keep it from coming back.

  2. I hope that massive root that crossed your trench and that you cut short doesn't grow back as it could perforate your pipe. could you widen the trench at that point and put a brick or some concrete as a kind of wall to block its path if it does try to grow back from one side? Could save some issues down the road…? In any case, might be good to mark the spot as a prime suspect in case there is a leak in the future…

  3. Pour a few pots boiling hot water over the ants and let it soak in ( BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO BURN YOUR SELF ) If you have one use a portable stove burner and place it not far away from the nest also chunk up the soil to let the water get deeper into the ground .. A day or two later check to see if there is a small mound of dead ants if so repeat the process and dig a little deeper /wider .. NO CHEMICALS needed !

  4. Andrea…i use a strong string that i found at a construction material shop and I tied to the branches of my vines that are over growing the support i created, and I tied the yarn to the closest wall or pillar. It is working. As it grows more i go and and more strings and I can carefully pull them without breaking.

  5. HELLO ANDREA & OMAR…UGH, SNAKES!…LOOKED LIKE MOLE SNAKES, BTW…I DON'T THINK THEY ARE POISONOUS, BUT, STILL NASTY…THE PROJECTS ARE COMING ALONG GREAT…MAYBE GET SOME WIRE AND RUN THE WIRE ALONG THE TOP & ATTACH THE GRAPEVINE TO IT…ALL THE BEST, YOU TWO…🙏🏻;)

  6. Oh what a surprice the two snakes !!! If they are harmless its a blessing for the house !!!Here in Greece they call them ''the snake of the house'' and we put a bowl with milk to drink. These two had sex -male and female -thats why they were circulling each other. But if they are not harmless…..bbbrrr….
