As the horrific events in Ukraine continue, one woman received a text from a friend last week, asking her to travel to the region and rescue their children. Without hesitating, Jo Cope booked herself on the first flight to Poland to meet them at the border. The children had just a small rucksack each and a document assigning Jo legal guardianship of them for up to a year. Now safely back in England, and on International Women’s Day, we’re joined by this remarkable lady as she tells us the story.
