Pick up a spare tire or two for your trailer, seen so many stranded on the roadside due to damaged tires. Such a cheap and simple safety net when the time comes.

The village of Ashopton was "drowned" to make the reservoir. Also the village of Derwent I think. This was in the mid-1940s. The church spire was originally left standing but was demolished in the late 40s due to safety concerns.

I live in NSW, Australia, when talking about rain, you could have had some ours!. We would have been happy to pay you to have it. Some poor souls have, literally been up to their eyeballs, unfortunately, several times in water. I think we have swapped, what you get we got, and vice versa. You can bet that that will change, just unusual weather.
