Hi! In this video I discuss cool things to see in Lisbon, Portugal. Lisbon has a lot to offer including cool history, culture and art. People of Portugal are extremely creative as they were one of the first countries to explore the world. Through their explorations they brought influences from other cultures to complement their own. Especially popular in Lisbon are tiles.

Not many people know this, but tiles are originally from Egypt. In the 13th century Arabs brought it to Portugal during their invasion. Said tiles often represent flowers and stories. The tiles are called Azulejo in Portugal. The word azulejo comes from Arabic roots and it means ‘small polished stone’. Learn more by watching the video 🙂
