I get bleach on my clothing too…especially if I use bleach outdoors. I have jeans and tops that are bleach stained.
Husband and I watch you every evening. I’ve personally learned many things from you. You typify exactLY what off grid living should be and how to accomplish this. You try to get all the free wood you can, and I recently saw a cord of wood ( don’t know the type it was) for $190 in the Pocono’s of PA.
Do you think the wood could be falling due to some minor subsidence due to ground movement, old mine workings, water below the top layer etc.

Rob, maybe you could put a trail cam on 1 or 2 stacks of wood to see if you can solve the mystery of your wood falling over? Just a thought!

I've come to the conclusion that so many people settle for a level of discomfort and call it their happiness. You on the other hand have eliminated most of your discomfort and have found your true happiness. You have eliminated debt, working for an unappreciative employer, and the need of what everyone else has been programmed to be normal. You're living independently! What else can you ask for? The one who appreciates what he has is rich. The one who desires more is the poor man. So the way I see it, you are the richest man I have seen! You're living the dream in freedom!
WranglerStar had a video more than a year ago about stacking his firewood in a big circle. It does not fall over. Get it 5 ft tall then fill the center with more wood.
Hello Rob and Carolyn. We had a problem with the wood pile and found out that it was a raccoon squeezing in knocking it down. Dang varmints.
When I used to do the firewood routine, I always cross stacked my wood and never really had that problem. I would stack 3 pieces one way then three the other direction. That helps to lock the wood together. It also promotes air circulation through the wood.
What about stacking in circles?
Good show as always Rob. Just an idea. A small wood shed up by the porch that houses this winters firewood. The shed keeps it out of the weather until you’re ready to use it in the house.
