  9. While this town is indeed about 2 hours from NYC, the beginning of the Poconos is just 90 minutes from NYC. Jim Thorpe is a bit further into Pa. Good job showing the town, it's beautiful there.

  13. Jim Thorpe – nice! Brings back memories. But to me best part was hidden gem about 10 miles away No. 9 Coal Mine and Museum. If you haven’t heard – check it out. A must visit! Hopefully it’s open again especially coal mine.

  22. I never knew that those heart shaped tubs originated there. That basement with the couch and big screen tv looks amazing! That would be like my dream basement! Seems like a great place to stay cool and play board games or watch movies.

    That sounds like such a creepy name, Shades of Death Trail. It looks like a beautiful trail, though, especially that waterfall.
