Food is – and should be! – an essential part of every trip to Lisbon, Portugal. And what better way to sample a variety of amazing traditional Portuguese dishes than a food tour of the Time Out Market Lisboa at the Mercado da Ribeira.
We loved our time at Time Out. The market has an inviting and energetic atmosphere and it’s cool knowing that all of the food has been reviewed and curated for the market. From traditional desserts to tasty, salty snacks and a delicious cocktail, our food crawl at the market was an absolute highlight of our visit to Lisbon!
We sampled pasteis de nata, pasteis de bacalhau, caldo verde, croquetes, and pão-de-ló!
All of our dishes and drinks cost under €30. Not a bad afternoon! If you’re in #Lisbon we highly recommend doing a #foodcrawl through the #timeoutmarket Enjoy and see you soon!

The Time Out Market Lisboa is on our list of cool things to do in Lisbon. Check it out! https://youtu.be/F1Z8FFkx82s
My tips: codfish Brás style (Chef Miguel Castro e Silva), octopus hot dog (Sea Me), Port & Tonic to wash it down (Taylor's) and anything by Henrique Sá Pessoa. For dessert, the amazing Abbot of Priscos pudding.
No good. We got a fish soup and it was very mediocre, and when I asked for hot sauce (piri piri) they said that they didn't have any. I'll never go to Time Out market again. Thank you.
Well that use to be only a Market a day know glamour enjoyed. combined the fresh food in one side and do turn the ather into Time out
Hey guys!!! I m travel vlogger myself and i recently travelled Portugal few months back and mine favorite was Portuguese sandwich. 🙂But still i think i skipped trying many 😂
Just a small side note: "pastel" is singular, "pastéis" is plural. : )
Nice, a video where you actually show what you eat ! Most youtubers just say "Oh, we went to timeout market" and show nothing…. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Can I have the last meat slice? 😉
The sangria and pao-de-lo looked soooo yummy!
BRILLIANT VIDEO AND SUPERB PICTURE QUALITY==WELL DONE==COLIN==
Ahhh pasteis de natas I miss you! You're right, there is no way of eating them without getting sugar everywhere…totally worth it though 😄 They became our daily breakfast when we were in Lisbon.
Interesting market…ow that dessert..looks delicious…looks like the French toast with sponge cake instead…
Port sangria, hmmm, interesting….what about the galao, was it good?
Also visit the Campo de Ourique market, smaller but very interesting…
