  1. How could you guys have missed to mention Arroios, once named the coolest neighborhood in the world by Time Out? Finally saw our neighborhood (we chose our apartment virtually due to the covid restrictions), have gone around it and we are definitely loving it.😍

  2. I was hugely lucky to find a T2 (with a garden in back and takes a dog!) in Lapa! With a parking space! i would agree Campo de Ouerique is really ideal the “City within a City,” ; a lot of French expats live there. But you dont mention Belem which, albeit further out, is a really lovely neighborhood. Also Ave Liberdade is central but maybe not so residential. Oriente is kinda cool too but more a place to visit; its very modern, not very authentic. Ill take you on a tour of my flat and neighborhood if you want—its “Ambassador’s Hill” As several homes of Ambassadors are right in the area (USA, China, Romania, Netherlands, etc).,Ill come to your meetup! I went to Porto first and agree nits a good place to start. All depends if you like city or country.

  3. I think Parque das Nações is… too different. There are a few Lisbon-Lisbon neighborhoods more representative and not so central as the other four: Ajuda/Belém and Alvalade, for instance. If you love Avenidas Novas, Alvalade is even better because it has not that many office buildings.
Graça, closer to the center, is one of the most charismatic neighborhoods in Lisbon.
However, the hype is around Arroios and Marvila. Arroios is probably the most global bairro in Lisbon.

  4. I’m constantly amazed at josh and his really great Portuguese accent. Kalie is going great too! Much better than previous videos. Josh I’m an English major grad so I gotta correct your English lol. Ahh the Irony 😀You used the word expand instead of expound. don’t worry everyone makes that mistake even college professors. So don’t feel bad. I heard a science professor the other day say “ chomping at the bit” when the correct saying is “champing at the bit”. You guys do great work love your videos. Sorry about my grammar policing.

  5. Thanks Kalie & Josh for this great video. Very helpful and super pumped for the upcoming videos. 👍🏻 👍🏻 BTW—I couldn’t make out the walkable area you mentioned at 43:50. Could you spell that out again? My Portuguese is still terrible. 😵‍💫 Obrigado. 🙏🏻

  6. ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓Much🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓
