  1. If you want own wood for the future..make a mastenbis we call it ..plant a special pinetreeforrest which have only straight root stam..it will create another kind of past which you will need if you want natural animals like deer..foxes..and connected plants like verns berries herbs you will need for natural medicinal healing. And Forrest pools create moss..better bee areas.coolness .shadow etc..
Throughout the centuries they took down all those Forrest for making Arcadia's warships..and the whole area has changed and dried out ever since… Put the Forrest on that side where the neighbouring plots of lands can also do the same with their soil..so you create bigger Forrests.. you can use it for big logwood to maintain the home for the coming 10yrsand further away. Make a Forrest tra.opening with a pool .for fish .and wildlife…

It's creating a new biotope again. .restore the old land so it will not dry out again .make sure there Isa well and irrigation to and from that Forrest..

You can learn a bit from the the pond guy and that other guy who draws out how you have to organize your fields to make things happen..that irrigation goes naturally and will stay and create green again .and not only in spring.

Thanks for showing us around..very much appreciated .! Lots of work to be done ..make sure you see your wife animals at least 2x a day not only during lunch or dinner!!!

  2. Wow, another great video. You must be a very energetic person, to tackle all of those projects, with such a positive outlook and vision for the future. Looking forward to the upcoming videos on your channel. For being a newer You tuber, you have great narrating and editing skills and your channel is growing nicely. Great to hear that Poppy is doing well and loving her new home.

  3. Gorgeous property! We have been on our 5 acres about 6 months and our first weeks were so similar to yours with 30+ degree heat and lots of clearing overgrown grass and trees 😂 We have dorper sheep now and they have been really wonderful to keep the grass down as well as helping to improve the soil (and great fun to have around), we love them! All the best with your beautiful property!

  4. For being a newbie YTer you are doing a great job. I’m in Phoenix AZ,USA, so it is nice for me to see other hot climates, as I like to grow stuff. I am also interested in remodeling/construction so it will be interesting to see what you do to the place. Good luck with your plans. Look forward to checking in with your progress. How often do you think you might post? Or will you wing it?

  5. Oh WOW I love your property! The little one room stone building and the stone walls around the fields are wonderful. Your vlogs are beautifully shot and a joy to watch. Looking forward to seeing many more!

  6. Ricky, welcome to Portugal! Have you considered goats instead of sheep? You will easily find them for sale at the local "feiras" markets . Btw, if you need help with translating anything between english and portuguese, I will gladly help ( for free, obviously!). Get in touch if you need it. Keeping the property clean will be a pain, good luck!

  7. Fabulous property! I thoroughly enjoyed that tour, you gave a lot of ahead of you both . You appear to have a lot of knowledge and I can’t wait to see future videos and how the transformation goes. Thank you for taking the time to explain everything. Keep well and keep safe and I’ll be watching for the next ‘episode’ . So pleased to hear that Poppy is well. She struck lucky the day you found her.

  8. Ronny and I (Helen- the ones with 13 cats & 3 dogs in Algarve) thoroughly enjoyed this video, thanks for sharing your plans! If you have a Tibi near you, they sell a blue inflatable collar which the dogs don’t mind wearing after ops, they can eat and drink much easier than with a cone and I think they quite like to lay down with it as it’s like a pillow for them, much better in the heat too! Hope Poppy likes it! One of our cats is named Poppy because my late Fiancé Seans Birthday was 11th November. (Ronny and I were both recently widowed when we moved here and met 5 years ago). Love to you and your lovely lady and doggies! 👍🏼

  9. Sounds like you could need some help. Bee and Theo from the Indie Project live in Portugal also and they have already done everything you want to do and learn. They are wonderful and if I were you I would get in touch with them. Wonderful place!

  10. You stated building the cabin out of metal? Okay how about an alternative to just metal – think metal shipping containers lying about at docks and scrap yards awaiting dismantling. Others considering Tiny Homes have used this method to pretty outstanding features and they are relatively cheap to get hold of, once set on breeze blocks and secured into place.
