Air travel in and out of Portugal is going to be more difficult soon as civil aviation workers from two separate unions plan a walkout. The strike will start on August 19th and last till August 21st, unless an agreement is reached, and it will directly affect 10 of the countries airports. The strike dates correspond with one of the busiest weekends for air travel in Portugal. Airports that aren’t directly affected by the strike will see an increase in traffic as flights get diverted, delayed, or even canceled. Even though the strike is for a few days, the ripple effect can impact air travel in the region for weeks.
