I flew TAP in March 2020…from Hamburg to Portugal…almost 4 hours..we had no legroom, 1 Drinkservice and applechips or cookies as a breakfast..it was the worst flight i‘ve ever been on!

Sorry, TAP; I have to agree with Lukas from FlightExperience! You need to improve your onboard service! Sorry, to be a critic, but it’s the truth, in a polite way!

These disadvantges, aka bad legroom, small food or not at all, no recline, we can "thank" to the appearance of the sh.t low costs. They made this beautiful business awful, and within Europe the big carriers unfortunately are going down in the service level as well. The only problem with this, that the prices are sometimes are still high, meanwhile the services are sh.t! But Pro Video anyway!

TAP Portugal is, in my opinion, the best european airline. You werent very lucky on this Flight. For ex., they always have a magazine in every seat. I flew with them to Prague one month ago on a a321 LR (long range) Neo. It was just my best flight ever. Economy class is served with quality, and the fares of business class are very competitive! Its an airline with a huge diversity of destinations worldwide and with a great quality of services

I have never flown TAP, but I'm planing a trip to Portugal including 3 TAP Flights.
All 3 flights together are about 100€. As the difference to Ryanair and Easyjet ist not that big, i guess you cannot expect a different service.
Further you can book Oneway Flights with TAP without extra costs. With Lufthansa and Co. Oneway flights cost much more, than if you book it as a roundtrip

It's a 2.5 hour flight.
Some airlines in the US offer no food on a flight that short.
(Just drinks, pretzels, or peanuts)

I think before assuming TAP doesn't have a board magazine you should ask for one. What are you, 12? My god, Internet and Millennials sure is a dangerous combination. The inflight magazine is called UP! and it has won many prizes.

Tell me one thing: when you are at home, how many meals you take between 6.00 and 8.30? And what do you eat?

Sorry to hear about your not so good experience with TAP. Unfortunately they’ve changed a lot as years have passed. I fully remember getting a hot meal on my flight from Rome to Lisbon

I recently flew TAP intra Eurooe and to Brazil. The cheap seats in economy nake bo sense at all. The cheapest seats you can imagine, but still full meal service with wine.

The longhaul was also strange. The outbound was an old A340. It was actually not too bad. The seat was OK. Coming back I was on a retrofit A330, which I found almost impossible to endure. The legroom was just bad enough to make sleep impossible.

I got my partner C tickets, and I’m told it was OK.

I fly tap as my first choice whenever I can, and I agree with everything you said. First time I got these interiors, same reaction. Look good, but I found myself missing the old ones. Well most times I fly economy plus, the red seats are a lot better, head rest, power socket and more room. Other thing I notice, after some point they slightly re arranged the flights I used to grab, from lunch time to a bit earlier or later. That way instead of full meal I always got that same type of lesser meal. That would be fine if they at least updated prices too. In Europe TAP wasn’t being profitable at all, being chased all over the place by easyjet and Ryanair. I think this is a consequence of that.
Nonetheless I still fly tap most of the times. And safety matters of course, so I always feel extra relaxed when inside a TAP airplane.

2 months ago i went with TAP to portugal, and it was my best flight ever, the seats were comftarble, there was a lot of space, the people were super friendly, and the food was amazing!, i love TAP portugal

TAP is following the low cost concept. Even those crappy sandwiches for free will finish too. It’s really a shame for a national carrier like TAP. I’m Portuguese and makes me sad to see what this airline is becoming.

If you check out their website, you'll find out what type of service that they will provide… If you wished for any other drinks, why didn't you just ask the crew? I believe that so early in the morning, most passengers just want to sleep and have a quite atmosphere in the cabin, and not have a trolly running up and down the aisle with lights everywhere…

To me, the flight seems perfectly ok for the trip length and time at the day. Want more? Buy business class..

I had the same cabin and product 3 weeks ago from Munich to Lisbon. I'm 183cm tall and the legroom was the worst. Same shit as Ryanair with the hard front seat. Unexplainable where TAP is going to. My connecting flight to Rio was even worse in a super old cabin on an A330. Nothing against A330. But the cabin was from the 90s.
I had a lot more legroom flying low cost in Brazil with Azul and Gol, than on the longhaul flights with TAP. Never again. Even if i miss my Star Alliance miles. This is getting ridiculous. Tomorrow i have to fly back with TAP from Rio to Munich via Lisbon. It should be my last flight with them.
