Tyrone Mings says Aston Villa players feel ‘pain’ after Solihull lake deaths

England football star Tyrone Mings has visited the makeshift memorial to three boys who died after being pulled from an ice-covered lake at the weekend, saying “we feel that pain”.

Mings and fellow Aston Villa player and club captain John McGinn arrived on Wednesday to look at the carpet of floral tributes next to Babbs Mill Lake, Solihull, near Birmingham, following the deaths of the boys aged eight, 10, and 11.

“We thought it was important to come down here and show our respect,” Mings told reporters at the scene.

  1. the collective west expose these fake outpourings of grief and heart break at little chavs falling into cold water yet think its fine to pour fuel onto the fire in Ukraine where millions are being either slaught4red or subject to extremne cold due too their desire for Russian blood

  2. This is sick . Making all this about blacks and football. Yet this is about white children who died in a lake as they was neglected by their parents. We don't need anything from this clowns. The same clowns who teach white kids they are inherently evil because they are white..

  3. Well done lads You and your families are part of the Bham community now, and not just play for a premier league club. UTV VTWD and more HEITS. Prayers to the families

  4. Of course such a tragic event….but the question remains where were the parents. We are all to quick to send emojis, and thoughts & prayers… But what about the parenting here, ! how many times has this happened time and time again, but we still send emojis, and are thoughts, do parents of today learn nothing when it comes to our kids.!!!

  5. This is tragic but these outpourings these days are quite bizarre, the shrines, Police doing a parade, strangers with offerings, etc. – there is something wrong with our society when we all need to feel and be seen to express grief in a very public way.
