Vanlife in Europe – Croatia National Park – Slovenia Nordic Centre

Vanlife in Europe – This video forces us to travel through three countries due to the closed Austrian border in our self-built Sprinter Campervan.

We meet up with great friends of our Rob and Alex who are also travelling in Europe at a lovely campsite on the coast near Starigrad.

You can watch Rob & Archie’s youtube channel here

Then together we travel further north in convoy to visit the most impressive National Park in Croatia.

We cross the first border from Croatia into Slovenia and head towards their Olympic skiing centre. Planica Nordic Skiing Centre, Slovenia google map link

We are forced to turn back at the Austrian border due to the road being closed and have to travel through north Italy then into Austria crossing a further two borders in just 23mins.

Driving all the way through Austria we head to Berchtesgaden in that bavarian Alps to visit the Eagles Nest. Sadly this was closed.
The campsite that we stayed in was one of the best we have visited.

  1. Nice one Greg & Lou. Another beautiful vlog. Plitvicka was beautiful and we enjoyed it too. We stayed at the top for a few nights, about a minute's walk from the ariel view of the largest waterfall. The ideal view with a coffee in the morning! 😍👍🥃

  2. Hi Greg & Lou. Sat at home having just tested positive with some symptoms. (please no sympathy needed) Chance to catch up with some Vlogs it didn't take me half an hour. Nice work on the Croatian ones and some lovely spots you have explored. Heading down that way later this year so thanx for sharing. T&S

  3. That looks one of the nicest places you have been so far, great views BUT VERY NOISY!
Great bit of commenting Lou, you’re getting loads better at that now. The boat was like being on Windermere but quieter.

  4. I'm a great lover of waterfalls and those were STUNNING! And despite your initial worries, you had crystal clear waters. I take it, with it being a national park, you couldn't fly the drone? All the best 🙏🏽😎

  5. Thanks Greg and Lou. Another awesome travel vlog. It's hard for us to imagine how cold it is there. We are travelling/testing our own van build here in our home state Tasmania (Australia) where we are just leaving Summer. Happy Trails.
