Great video. The Venture X has proven to be the best card in my wallet, the 2x on everything is better than the Amex Platinum and comparing it to the CSR, (which is probably it's closest competitor) has just edged it out due to not having to find ways to utilize all the credits to close the annual fee gap. Only thing that it has done recently is remove the restaurant credits from it's priority pass, which I have used and is a bummer that we are losing, but overall the Plaza Premium helps and the sheer ease of credits utilization makes it a better fit for those that don't want to "coupon" hunt. I wish they would add an additional 3x/4x on food/gas/or another category to match the CSR.
How is making changes or canceling flights in the portal? I don't like being forced to book in the portal, and I mostly book southwest flights. And I work for a hotel so I wouldn't be booking hotels in the portal either. US Bank altitude connect has been great for me for travel outside of a portal. But now I'm wanting lounge access, so deciding between venture X and platinum. My biggest gripe with the platinum is only earning 1x on purchases. I would not spend on this card unless I book a flight.
Capital one transfer partners are boo hoo.
Loving my VX!

I’m so torn between this and the altitude reserve

Do they charge you the 395 on first statement?
