Christy, your way of saying "Madeira" it´s so Portuguese perfect that if you keep saying only "Madeira" all the time I would sware you were a native Portuguese speaker hehehe. You should start taking some lessons, I´m quite sure it would come natural to you and you would be speaking Portuguese in no time.

I agree that renting a car is a must to see the island just like we did when we were in Hawaii last December. We were able to see a lot more that way with the flexibility that a car provides. However, a tour is an excellent option too if we don’t want to drive. If we end up living in Madeira, we’ll have months to investigate it as we please 🙂
