did you vote for Brexit?
Great plan happy for you.
Good to see you have options.. are you still under the 90day Schengen Agreement with no resident visa ? , presuming this would run from your last entry into Portugal if so .
We’ve looked into the D2 visa running a small business & it’s complicated tbh , we actually are surprised your contemplating setting up a growing nursery due to the extreme summer heat & very the varied climate in central Portugal especially potential frosts . I guess time will tell but watching this summer’s videos your crops seemed to have suffered. I’ve a bit of experience growing exotics & climate control is important.
We follow a multitude of YouTube bloggers in C/P & the land they have must be in more fertile areas as they have excellent veg & fruit.
Are you guys still using the Sub .
Have a good weekend
Well done you both! You're inspiring entirely.
Good luck to you guys. Such great determination! We hope to get to Portugal next year but for now we are van life in the UK a month in with 2 kids & 2 dogs! Not easy! Keep your chins up! Xx
I am glad that you have made the wise decision of staying. The idea of integrating in the Portuguese community is also a very good one. I wish you success in this new adventure. Thumbs up👍👍👍Love from this retired teacher Filipa
Great news guys good luck with setting everything up for the nursery!
I love the title of your new Wednesday slot. For me an interest in the everyday life Inc things like how you do laundry, your diets, etc j6st the normal ife for you. X
I remember suggesting hydroponics when you mentioned growing plants before. It is a much more water efficient way to produce plants.
Good luck guys. Lots of other YouTubers call themselves Digital Nomads, isn't that more applicable to you? You do mention you are out of cash quite often, maybe the authorities have watched your videos if you have given your channel as a source of income. Just my Thursday Waffle!
👌🏻👌🏻
😀
😄
🙏❤️
You’re getting like professional beggers
I think because you want to live free on your land may seem similar to an migrant wanting to stay in the UK with all the benefits. I’m not be rude or insulting I have followed your travels and to Portugal. But maybe this is how they are looking at it. A dwelling would help. You might have problems with specials fruit not native to Portugal maybe some hoops there to jump through also. Maybe breeding some live stock would help. I’m thinking to sell my seven acres and come to Portugal next year I’m bringing my building machinery with me if it happens. So maybe we can keep in touch privately Nigel
Great idea to look at the D2 visa.
Are there any night markets you can hold a stall at – maybe sell plants there. You could get into other crafts such as jewellery making and sell online. Apothecary….candles, natural shampoo bars, soaps etc.
You certainly have the best place to make fresh wreaths aswell… its not going to make you a millionaire but it all helps and all the greenery is free and in abundance on your land.
You could do an online party and change your viewers £1 to join….
All small ideas to help the bigger vision.
Great to see you both positive love to see the animals and the pond build great idea for future party guys take care and good luck
Sorry mate you're gonna get thrown out of Portugal I've got thrown out a portable living in my van so you might stand a better chance having a bit of land but I don't think so I think you're on your way home mate
Also you just need about 22.500€. that is 45×500. So come with an offer for 45 sunscribers if they are willing to loan you €500 each. You even cold do that over a lawyer or so to give people more certainty to get their money back.
Glad your not giving up, try talk the streets on YouTube for easy Portugese tips and lessons x
Hi guys. When listing to the girls on the expats programe the say NEVER have onl the minimum amount in the bank. The more you have the better in the bank. Also it would be to your advantage if your daughter is in school, and don’t want to irruption her schooling. Good luck
So glad you are not giving up. Sending all positive vibes!🧡🍁
Hi in the wildlands phew glad you are deciding to stay I would miss your videos each week😊
Sounds like a plan, a bloody good one!!!!!❤
Have you registered your land with the office in Castello Branco as ‘agricultural’ this opens the door to EU subsidies.
Talk to 2030 Consulting Ricardo Mendonca who are an organisation that advise on obtaining Portuguese government funding for initiatives in agriculture and tourism. They charge a fee and percentage on the award you receive but you can get a lot of advice free before you commit. The Portuguese are desperate to bring people back to the land and it looks like you are ideal proactive candidates. I’m sorry I don’t recall the name of the registry for agricultural land but I recall another Castello YouTuber couple doing a video on this. Best of luck and thank you for your super channel.
It's not easy at times, but well done for finding the positive and moving forward. If we hadn't managed to move before Brexit I don't think we would have managed to make the criteria for a visa. I know what it's like not have the finances, we only had enough to purchase our place and it's hard work to get the money to do the rest. But I'm positive and know it will work too 🙂 Looking forward to seeing the reality of chickens as I'm planning on getting those in the spring!
nice one you guys go see you looking up beat about this you never said what the amount you needed to start the project
staying put…daqui não saio daqui ninguem me tira, lol.
The plant nursery and unusual veg/fruit business is a great idea and I hope you secure the funding to bring it to fruition ( no pun intended) …it will take a significant time before it becomes profitable but you can do it
Good to hear you have some alternative solutions. Good luck !
How’s solar set up going
Like the way you are thinking, use YouTube to your benefit, make filming part of your everyday life and post as many videos as you possibly can (hard work I know) but if you get your numbers up of subs and views then it's an income. Always rooting for you. 💙🌼💙
It was great meeting up with you the other day. Am pleased our chat about the entrepreneur's visa has given you a potential way forward!
seems good small project idea, let's talk…
Online party 🎉
I also have a small zoo and it takes a lot of work. food preparation and shopping, care and control, repairs and conversions, catching escaped or lost birds, attaching new perches…….5 lovebirds, 1 budgie, 1 green ringneck, 2 african grey, 1 macaw, 2 rabbits , 5 quails, 6 chickens, 1 Indian tortoise and 2 baby – sulcatas (giant tortoises), 2 cats and 2 strays to feed. in the rainy season protecting animals from drowning is a challenge, sometimes at night with a headlamp in the pouring rain…..
Nice business. Please do not grow bambu!
Love the Wednesday waffle!
Good to see you both positive and looking at alternative plans to stay in Portugal.
More info about your daily life (the good and the bad), chicken, dogs and cat spam. What’s a typical day like for you. If you could increase your social media presence could you qualify under digital nomad visa? Bamboo is very invasive so I’d think twice about that. What about growing cacti? Could you plant more olive trees? What about cooking workshops using what you’ve grown? Good luck!
So glad you keep fighting to stay there 😀 I hope you succeed
👍 for Wednesday waffle. Positive plans, positive attitude. Stay well and all the very best to you all. 👍🐾🐾😎
Well done guys, stick with it. The business plan sounds good you have done your homework. Learning Portuguese is the way forward too.
Hi, wondering guy's if it would be more beneficial to set up a Paypal account or a Go-fund me page, Youtube take a high percentage of the donations going through them. Also giving more choices for folks to be able to help you. L&L
Hi, so pleased to hear your fighting for what is right, it is your home, stay strong, where there's a will there's a way, their being ridiculous. Not sure if this helps or you already know, heard on another channel, moving to Portugal before Britain left the EU gives an automatic residency, new Portugal restrictions regarding residency only came in after, that's my understanding of it anyway. lots of prayer's & love for you, L&L
It's great to hear the enthusiasm in you both once again. Love the Extra Wednesday slot. And the nursery sounds great, throw in some coffee and I,m sure you,ll be onto a winner.
We will definitely be customers and look forward to meeting you in the future.
Best wishes. AL
So pleased you've decided to make it happen. The nursery sounds like a great idea. Looking forward to hearing about your business plan .
How about plant sponsorship to help with stock.
Absolutely love your waffling😂being Irish I'm a born waffler! So happy your determined to stay put, looking forward to wed waffles! 🙏💕
