The minimum is 8×2 thats 16k for the first person and more for the family as they give us a two year visa these days!
Also enrolling your child in local school helps, as I hear from others!

Follow a few in portugal so far you the only once that failed the visa, only diffrent to the others, they have a brick house they in. Maybe thats the stumpling block

Never ever had I been wishing so hard for a click bait and an happy ending…but this is life, I am sorry to say. The red tape and the arbitrary process of soon to be everything is painful. Unfortunatly the Brexit did its part, the influx of people in the area did its part (different lifestyles and increasing prices for the locals and all that). It is a pain in the butt for regular people who gets swooped away with the same brush, even though their intentions are totally legit. I would say you are just victims of a change in a general policy from Portugal and that You need a portugese migration lawyer who can speak your voice. Because if it is only technicalities they turn you down on, uaually a local lawyer can make minced meat out of that in a heartbeat….and in the long run, the cost for that would be like a minor disturbance compare to all the mental disturbance, hassle and costs of selling it all and leave. Just book an appointment with one and lets hear what he has to say…and guys, break a leg! I really want to see You continue your life in Portugal.

You must search for others expat comunities that are living in Portugal. They will help you. Be brave and good luck.

Slagging off the Portugese immigration office, as you did in a widely watched video a few months back was a really bad idea, as i mentioned in the comments at the time. You should have taken that video down. Make the authorities of the country you wish to emigrate to your friend, not your enemy. UK citizens are third country applicants to live in Portugal, no different to Pakistani or Albanian applicants. They have no special rights after their hard Brexit.You need to realise that. Dom , did you not apply for a residence ?? , when you bought the land ?? , there are two others that may live near you , they shop where you shop too so they must be near …. plus one couple have just bought a "new" place , & they are getting it in order , after the property , had a fire 🔥 but it only burnt down trees, & bushes , but there house is safe ..

The current trend is you need double the amount of minimum wage in your Portuguese bank account. You could attempt to have only one of you apply for the D7 then do family reunification. Either way, you need a good immigration lawyer looking at your situation. I recommend Relocate to Portugal. Their team of lawyers is the best.

another way forward would be for the most financially secure of you to apply for a D7 visa and then the other two to follow up on the D6 route, following grant of D7 visa.
