Wow Nice layout. It looks small outside but inside is spacious. Lovely house 🏠
Your house is Awesome 👍 Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
Not practical but if the top of the stairs had a window instead of a wall in the master closet would allow for some different viewing angles for the residents not for guests
Just subscribed. Never had seen your videos before but YouTube suggested this one to me. I couldn't help but wonder what your neighbors must have thought of you filming in your driveway. You must be the talk of the neighborhood! I commend you for trying to live in a "normal" house in Japan. That was my dream once, but after spending four months in Uji last summer, I think I have finally abandoned that fantasy. I have to accept that in many ways I am deeply North American, despite my penchant for eating raw fish and nato, and my preference for sake. I hope you enjoy your life in Japan.
I love your sense of humour! 😂
Much love from England, UK 🙂
HI THERE. how are you doing today. I'll like to know how to move to Japan with my kids and mother. We want to know how to move to Japan. And how to get a house or Apartment for a price.
If putting the fridge to the left of the bicycles is ridiculous, maybe rotating the fridge 90 degrees or swapping the fridge if the repurposes desk/table might sold the door opening issue until replaced
“Stand like a real boy” rolls shoulders*
If you ever get folding or foldable bicycles in the future then you can store them in the walk in coat closet
Congrats on the new house!
why is eric so holsom
a white noise machine, when sleeping can help to mask those cicadas sound.
Cicadas are a sign of clean air
Have you checked the top of your fridge? Because normally you have the ability to change which side your doors open. We did that with our fridge freezer. I know I’m from the U.K., but most of our fridge freezers come from the east ie hitachi is Japanese, Samsung from South Korea etc so I imagine all fridge freezers will have the same ability to change way the doors open
watching your video for the first time
i sort of understand why is there a double lock
it’s probably for children to go in and out of the house and use the lock down there, it’s a thoughtful design
So glad you two were suggested to me today! I LOVE your brand new house and it’s amazing you will enjoy many many years there! I lived in Taiwan for 4 years in the 80’s and gained a new respect for these thousand-year old cultures. I believe that every American should live abroad at some point in life—-it opens our minds and I think most other countries are more alike with the U.S. standing alone, although most Americans think our ‘ways’ are the norm. Living in Japan was all ways on my list but life didn’t have that planned for me.
Enjoy your lovely new home and I’m glad to be a new subscriber!! 🥳
Hi – This is so wild. Not sure why your video popped up but watched it cuz I used to live in Tachikawa Japan from about age 4 to 11 and I have never heard the word Tachikawa since. I was not familiar with Geography back then, and still not, LOL. I always thought Toyko was pretty far from us. We lived off base and all the houses were one story. I remember we used to drive to Yokosuka where there was a pizza place about 7 miles away. I've always heard that it's so expensive to buy a home in Japan but since you converted it to American dollars, that house is so much cheaper than what it would cost in the states. I don't remember the bugs being so loud. We lived right next to railroad tracks. I have nothing but fond memories of Japan!
Omg that is so expensive…. how can anyone afford a house? That's ridiculous
The BUGS killed it for me! OMGosh did you see the size of those things! 😵😵😵😵
I really enjoyed your video. What made you decide in settle in Toyko? Are uou planning to grow a family?
Many fridges have the ability to switch the side the door opens. Maybe want to check if you can.
Hi new subscriber here 😊
Nice house. congrats! You work before in the hospital? Is there anyway to work there as a Clinical laboratory scientist/medical technologist? I mean what are the requirements. 😀 Thanks in advance.
Lovely house tour. 👌🏽
I'm new to this channel. What industry do y'all work in Japan?
Try switching your anti crow garbage net for a collapsible garbage net box (ゴミネット ボックス) – crows really can't get into them… as yet. Amazon stocks them, but should also be able to find some at big hardware stores. Recommend the 40 liter size.
Is it possible to conduct illegal activities in a house like this?
🎊congratulations🎊 on ur new home 🏡 thanks for sharing have a great weekend 🤟☮️💟🍀😜🤘🦋cheers 🍻
I thought foreigners couldn't buy in Japan …
I'd get a water cooler or a small fridge upstairs. I did it in my home and use some water bottles that I refill when I go downstairs
